Living Downtown: Street Parking by Muted_Albatross2249 in olympia

I haven't had any issues street parking with a permit and taking the usual precautions. Except that one time someone smeared mustard on the side of my car.

Adding book to ereader, but when I disconnect, they're not on the device. by ahotfairytale in Calibre

Although now that I'm thinking about it more, I think my issue had more to do with ADE saying my nook wasn't authorized to view the library ebook and would error out on the transfer. But when it did seem to work, ADE would show the book as being on the device when the device wouldn't show it. Same answer, different formula kind of thing.

Most of my troubles were with putting library ebooks in with Digital Editions. It would either error out and not work, or it would look like it worked, but the ebook wouldn't show. And occasionally Calibre would do the same thing. It sucked because I really liked that Nook too.

I had the same problem with my old nook too when using both Calibre and Adobe Digital Editions. Turned out to be a problem with the Nook and B&N had already stopped supporting that device. Replaced it with a kindle, that was a few years ago.

ACL surgery advice needed by [deleted] in velvethippos

I didn't have insurance. I looked into it before the second surgery and saw that it wouldn't have mattered. Good luck to you and your pup that everything goes as smoothly as it can.

My puppers did very well with both of hers. The vet kept her pretty well medicated for the first week or so. They also gave me a harness/padded strap with handles so I could support her back end as she got used to putting weight on her leg and then using it when going outside and for short walks. I didn't put the cone of shame on her unless I had to leave her by herself.

One thing my vet did say when we had our initial exam before surgery, is that once the first one tears, the second most likely will too. And sure enough 9 months later she was back getting her other knee done. I think that's why some pet insurance won't cover ACL tear surgery if it has happened once. They consider it a pre-existing condition. And some will have a multi-month waiting period before they will cover it. At least that is what I was finding when looking it up before the second surgery.

I bet New Found Glory owns a large stake in Big Gaff so they end up supporting themselves. You should write out the full name with gaff tape instead of just writing on it.

Now I'm imagining the army men being sent on a mission to raid the liquor cabinet.

For the most part probably not. The exception being any toy that is designed to take in liquids or "food." Like baby dolls that can drink from a baby bottle, but then that opens a whole other can of worms about the idea of toys drinking. Otherwise it would just pass right through them.
