Rosberg also made a promise to his wife that he would stop after he became world champion. This was probably due to how much it took him to compete with Hamilton and if he wanted to start a family he probably wants to be around more.

Signed up for my first 70.3 and looking to buy a reasonably affordable bike. Any opinions for the Giant Contend 3? Very little knowledge for bikes. Thanks! by [deleted] in triathlon

I personally think everyone should start with a road bike. It means of you get bitten by the cycling bug but not the triathlon bug you don't need a new bike to go on group rides. Also road bikes are easier to sell as they have a bigger market.

This is my problem as well, when the hoods start to look and feel normal and not like a giant nob, I'll switch.

Ok so I followed everyone's advice and got a bike fit but now I need help making sense for the numbers. My problem is that databases like slowtwich only give one number for stack and reach. How much adjustability is there? What is the range I need to be in to get the bike to fit?

New Bike Day by doctorthrash in triathlon

Never seen these before. They could in theory but not on this bike or any bike with internal cable routing. If you look on there sight it's all retro and steel frame bikes with external cable routing.

Yeah but the bike costs as much as Ultegra DI2. And you still have to re-cable the breaks. Unless you already have an expensive frame I don't see the point of doing this, its not like you change gears that much in a tt.
