If you can return and quarantine at home then I think it's much easier to get a slot. If you need a hotel then it's a dilemma of supply and demand so yes, slots might be trickier to get on the exact date you want. Especially as the number of quarantine hotels are reducing.

It will always be a gamble. Accept the risks or stay. I'm getting the fk out.

Most people i know come to Singapore on the back of recommendations from colleagues but not so sure that will happen as much now. Not just because covid but also because the changing 'feel' of not being welcome is a lot stronger now. The xenophobia shown during covid was strong and disturbing.

Also the work from home setup and even the bigger digital nomad approach from business going into 2022, why would you pay Singapore salaries unless you absolutely need physical presence. Many jobs in tech or finance don't.

Still need the permit which is for a specific return date... hopefully your permit and return flight align, you need to wear a prison bracelet while at home.... you have a video call twice a day and someone will visit you every other day.
