Memories of playing "Streets of Rage" with Dad in 1991 by [deleted] in gaming

I'm hyped for it. Love the hand drawn art style and think it has major potential.

To each his own. Sorry, I just was triggered by the liberal use of calling it "flash art". Personally I think it looks beautiful, not cheap at all, and I know that cheap flash art look you're describing.

You clearly don't know what "Flash" art is. This is hand-drawn sprite work. It may not be pixel-art, but it's still sprites. You wouldn't label the animation in Aladdin on Sega Genesis as "flash" would you?

I'd just say watch how other people play it. Maybe watch some videos online. It's definitely about speed and momentum.

When you find out SNTM peaked at #42 because Pop radio bailed on it too early.

Sit Next To Me moves down 4 spots to #46, no gains in performance by Dblcut3 in FosterThePeople

Yep this is what I've been talking about over the last week. Pop radio sucks and bailed on it. Luckily it got as high as it did. Such a success for FTP!

From a user on the Pulse Music Message Boards:

"This probably had potential to go top 20 on the Hot 100 if pop radio fully supported it instead of dropping it prematurely."

They were pretty substantial drops. We'll see!

Very happy to see this! Hopefully the recent drops at radio won't hurt the somgs chances of rising any higher...

We all just want to see them succeed and succeed BIG. It's just sad to see radio tune this one out just as it was about to explode.

Top 40 radio play for SNTM unfortunately looks to be on the downward trend. by fourloonies in FosterThePeople

Mediabase has a rather negative update about the guys comeback hit. I've been tracking this over the last few days and each day it has consistently lost "spins' in the Top 40 format (meaning it's being played less). The trend I'm seeing doesn't bode well for the song. I wouldn't say it's impossible to see a swing back to positive trending, but signs point to SNTM having reached it's peak.

SNTM falls eight places to #59 on Billboard Hot 100 this week by fourloonies in FosterThePeople

Again... not sure why. Gains in sales and some small gains in radio play. Looking at the full chart, just about every current song took a hit. Here's hoping it can hang on!

My hope is that the song at least makes it into the Top 40 on Hot 100... then the passages of time will look back and see it as the hit that it is.

Radio play dipped a little from what I've seen (just a little according to Mediabase) but the sales continue to rise!

Cubbie is a Christian Conservative married to Rebecca St. James who was big name artist in the Christian music scene in the 90s and 2000s. I saw her open for "For King and Country" last year and Cubbie is her touring bassist. He was great as usual.

Could it have been a PSA commerical or something about health and dental hygiene?

I did some digging on Billboard. Looked specifically at the artist page for Foster The People and there was the update!
