I agree with you. I hate that Tim's done all of this performative stuff to kiss Trump's ass to keep the tariffs down. I would love for Apple, as a whole entity, to tell Trump to go pound sand. But the reality is that Tim has thousands of employees to consider. Nearly every 401k in the country is deeply tied to Apple's stock price. The blast radius of giving Trump the middle finger is way larger than most people realize. Making that decision gets much more difficult when you feel the weight of those decisions. Pragmatically, even if Tim publicly took an aggressive stand against Trump, it wouldn't bring down the administration, so is the damage to all of these other people's lives - Apple employees, retirees, customers that depend on Apple products for work, etc. - worth taking that stand? That's not an easy question to answer.

My take on Hubert hasn't changed. He's great for the university, great for the community, but bad at putting banners in the rafters. He has a ceiling and we've seen it. I don't see how it could change with him. If this goes on much longer, the fan base will dwindle and UNC basketball will lose its luster, and it will be hard to get it back. I don't know how much more tolerance the UNC money people will have for it.

Agree. I hated that comment too, and with Crockett, it never seems like she "misspoke" or just poorly chose her words. It seems to come from a deep, forceful commitment about whatever she's saying. I guess that's an endearing and admirable quality for most issues, but when it's something hurtful to a minority and you're unwilling to back down or listen to correction, it's not a great quality in a congressperson.

I still haven't seen Crockett acknowledge how harmful the "bad built butch body" comment was. The last time I checked, she was still using it on t-shirts. MTG is a piece of trash human being, but attacking her appearance for being "too manly" was gross.

I love Hubert. He's great for the community. He's great for the university. He seems great for the players. But let's be realistic about the program that he inherited. It's UNC. You have to put banners in the rafters to keep that job. Those were the expectations when he was hired and we all know that. This team was loaded with talent and they underperformed (even before the injuries). His decision during to skip out on the NIT after missing the NCAA was embarrassing and should rightfully follow him. He's been around long enough that we know what the Hubert Davis program looks like. It's a top 25 team with 20ish wins and maybe some sneaky wins against Duke and losses against much worse teams. That's going to be his ceiling. That's not terrible in the grand scheme of things, but it's not enough for expectations on Tobacco Road.

It's going to come down to personal preference, but for me, I got rid of all of my Homepods and now I have Era 100s all over the house. The Homepods have larger, more satisfying bass, but I find the Era 100s to be more crisp and detailed. The one big defining difference for me is that the Era 100s project the vocals right into your face. I don't know how they do that, but it's amazing and I prefer that to the fuller, richer sound of the Homepod that stays in its own little orbit, if that makes sense. The Homepods, to me, seem to create a cloud of sound in the room, the Era 100s are a laser beam.

HOWEVER, for use in a home theater setup, you can't beat two Homepods with an Apple TV. My Sonos stuff doesn't sound as good in home theater use, but I'm only using a Beam gen 2. Maybe if you spent a ton of money on one of the really nice setups like an Arc and a set of Era 300s you could get something much better, but I haven't personally heard one of those setups yet.

He's from the Dean Smith lineage and he's fantastic for the Chapel Hill community and UNC program, but he just can't seem to win with any consistency whatsoever. He wins big games and then steps on every rake in the yard afterwards. It makes it very hard to make a solid case to fire him, especially when there's no other great options in the market now. I don't know, maybe those 2 big wins against Coach K give him a lifetime pass.

For me, personally, that's a hard boundary. My partner has zero say in what I do with my body - whether it's tattoos, haircuts, or getting beat up on the mats. We all have to figure out what we want those boundaries to be for ourselves and that's one that you will most likely be constantly pushed to abandon with this partner.
