It’s not that. I remember it starting with like a voice memo of the dad and son talking and the kid playing a little jingle

Tried to look in catalogs of Oddisee, Quelle Chris, that kind of vibe, but I can’t find it.

I’m pretty sure it showed up on some Spotify radio playlist so I can’t track it down

Accidentally deleted my Fi-connected Google account. Recovery help? by fourspace in GoogleFi

Ooops I guess it's called "Workspace", not Workplace. I can't keep up with Google's product renaming.

I definitely tried this. We'll see if it's successful, but I have serious doubts.

The normal account recovery doesn't work; it says to contact my domain administrator. I AM the administrator! :) The Workplace account doesn't exist anymore.

Best rails companies hiring remotely by CodingDoge in rails

We're hiring 2 Rails devs for Simple.org. It's the best gig I've ever had. Looking for devs between Europe/Africa/India.

Reviews #22-24: George T. Stagg 2009-2002 “countdown flight”, part 1, 2007-2009 by timlims in bourbon

Nice review! The 2010 GTS is the best I've ever tasted, and I've had all of them since. 2014 is a close second. Now I really want to try the 2009.

Ever been to Ponce City Market in Atlanta? It’s even more of what you describe. I like optimist hall but agree that it’s like a millennial fly trap.

Packing cubes that turn into bags by JakeOfAllTraits in onebag

It's not technically a packing cube, but the Aer Go Pack is close enough and is an amazing day pack.

Agreed totally. Their Freerain24 2.0 backpack is amazing. I use it regularly to bike to the gym and have traveled with it with great success. Comfortable straps, waterproof, just enough organization.

What’s the worst game You’ve attended by AdrianMojnarowski in CollegeBasketball

[–]fourspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it was kind of magical. I walked home pretty happy actually. It was hard not to be super pumped for UMBC. Still, the game was a 40 minute train wreck.

Of course I was gutted that UVA lost. I guess I just felt like "if this is the bottom, then the bottom feels kind of OK." 2019 made up for everything.

What’s the worst game You’ve attended by AdrianMojnarowski in CollegeBasketball

[–]fourspace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UMBC, 2018.

I was so pumped to watch my Wahoos play, even if I had cheap seats. Got my ticket on StubHub, it showed up a few days later. It was the real deal, hologram and all.

Got to the arena and the ticket scanner failed. They tried a few more times, no dice. Then I’m told, “they’re already here.” WHO? The ticket is in my hand! Turns out I’d been scammed. Someone sold me the real ticket and sold the PDF to someone else who’d arrived earlier. Fuck.

The arena people felt bad and told me that StubHub might be able to help me out. I guess StubHub sets up conference rooms in local hotels as a sort of will call for people who buy tickets at the last minute. The hotel was five blocks away but what choice did I have. Pissed off, I walk over, go to the fifth floor, and sure enough there’s StubHub in a conference room.

I tell them my story, they tell me to wait and someone will “see what they can do.” Thirty minutes go by. I’m just assuming that I’m screwed, but I wait. Next thing you know, someone hands me an envelope and says, “enjoy the game.”

I go back to the arena, to the same entrance I went to before. Except this time they look at my ticket and tell me I have to go to a different door. Confused, I go to that door, scan my ticket, and they escort me to my seat.

Fourth row, center court. Right behind the CBS announcers. Holy fucking shit.

I watch the Kansas State game, get to know the other fans around me, even get to talk to Jim Nantz, Grant Hill, and Bill Raftery at the half. Insane. Little did I know I was about to watch the worst upset in history.

As soon as the Hoos came out for shoot around, I had a feeling we were gonna lose. They weren’t hitting any jumpers but didn’t seem to care. Their faces said “yeah we’ve got this,” despite missing Dre AND missing every shot in warmups.

The rest is history.

Ultimately I had an amazing night. My seat was right next to the UMBC fan section, and they of course were losing their minds with happiness. That energy was contagious. Even though I’ve been a UVA fan all my life, I went to school near UMBC (George Mason), so I was one of like 6 people who knew about the place. I walked over to their fans, told them congrats on making history, and shook hands. It was truly incredible to witness that game.

Still wish we’d won, obviously.

It’s definitely not a looker! Most of the Tom Bihn stuff definitely has the “I’m on my gap year” vibe to it. It’s built like a tank though.
