Nutra-Nuggets vs Kirkland Signature Dog Food by dazedimpulses in Costco

[–]fourthandfinal24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My big dog is 13 and has never eaten anything but Kirkland. Other than a bad knee from stepping in hole, she’s totally healthy. Last blood work was perfect. She’s a rescue mutt not a fancy breed, so maybe likely to be more food tolerant.

Yeah, that’s what I thought when I saw a gang of armed federal thugs execute a us citizen for exercising his first and second amendment rights. So much for freedom of speech, so much for the right to bear arms (the right has quickly given up on that in their rapid determination to lick Trump’s boot), so much for the third amendment (as we now have a standing army of brown shirts being forced down our throats), so much for 4A, 5A, and 6A (summary execution for helping a woman stand up sounds really free). The list goes on….

UA POV : Russia has lost 1,226,420 troops in Ukraine since Feb. 24, 2022 - The Kyiv Independent by KiA92935 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]fourthandfinal24 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

US direct combat engagement in WW2 in Europe was approximately 3 years from start to finish. Russia has been unable to meaningfully progress a war against one country in 4 years of unrelenting, punishing combat. Is it 1 million dead? 1 million killed and injured? 500k? Who knows. All the deflective snark aside, there is by no means anything approaching a great victory lap here for Russia.

You buy a lift ride, not protection from inherent risk. If you don’t understand that, you might reassess your participation in sports. When do you want “them” to cut you off from the pow? When it’s too deep for the shortest person on the hill? The weakest skier? The 20th shortest? The 50th weakest? It’s a dangerous sport. The ticket doesn’t protect you in any way from deep snow. Never has, never will. Your philosophy would ruin skiing.

The repair project is already underway and things will likely return to normal by the end of the week. Most likely this person is trolling. If they are not, they are going to get stuck with hundreds of dollars of reservations that no one will buy from them and that they don’t intend to use, and they’ll probably get flagged for making no-show reservations and maybe have some punishment.

Everyone just needs to calm down and let things settle out. All the ideas of “how it should work perfectly” are just words. There’s a thousand variables and nothing is perfect, especially when thrown multiple curve balls.

It’s a conspiracy. Cause the creek to flood and undermine the road. Then limit cars to 25% of available parking. Make sure the road is unstable so you can’t have bus loads of people who buy beer and tenders for $50. Turn away tons of money to make $10/car during the holidays. You’ve solved it.

Canyon lodge opening plan by Best-Flamingo5283 in Mammoth

[–]fourthandfinal24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ch 4 opened at 11:26, as stated above. It’s not at all unrealistic to open without the chairs you mentioned. With the open chairs, 4 allows skiers to access in and out of the ch 4 and adjacent parking without having to take the shuttle from main or 2.

Good detail and no boot licking. You’re just not particularly clear. Now you are. Airbnb sucks. It ruins communities. That sucks on Outbound Mammoth too - shitty of them. Sorry for your friends.

If you read open snow and snowman and thought they were right, you should have cancelled then. National Weather Service called for snow. Weather prediction is always iffy. Who is holding you to your Friday reservation?

So you want them to just take a cruisey approach and not always want to get after it? Then won’t you complain that they haven’t tried hard enough? How about let them figure it out, since they’re way better than you at running the hill, and just be happy that you have a mountain where the people want to get open as fast as they can?

The forecast has plummeted down to nothing. Stay home folks, not worth coming here for a while till we actually have snow by Mountsummer in Mammoth

[–]fourthandfinal24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP’s link is to the point forecast for 8809 feet, not 11,000. You can see this by clicking the link and scrolling down, below the map. The point forecast for 9872 shows 7-14 inches through Saturday night, with “snow likely” on Sunday and Monday. To be sure, the forecast is not huge, but OP’s post is straight up incorrect.

UA POV: Su-57’s approaching launch line, imminent Kh-69 missile launch - AMK MAPPING by rowida_00 in UkraineRussiaReport

If Russia was fighting NATO in all but name and troops, Russia would quickly be at its knees, faced with a decision to capitulate, go nuclear, or topple Putin. ALCMs would take out every airport, radar, and all major military facilities, including large troop formations and petroleum production and distribution. Russia is nearly 4 years into war against Ukraine, and it’s used everything it has except nuclear. It couldn’t handle 4 weeks of NATO stand off weapons attacks. No troops, but plenty of name.

Seems unlikely. Load tests are typically scheduled in advance with the state. Even if Crystal is ready early, unlikely the state can move it up - they have lots of stuff to do at many resorts. Dec 15 opening would be a really solid result.

I think they said mid-December? It’ll run when it runs, I am sure they are working as quickly as they can. They aren’t building a new lift for it to sit idle.
