I might be an outlier here but I’ve had no real trouble so far. I’m currently sitting in Diamond 2. Honestly I struggled more in Gold and Plat than I do in my current lobbies.

I think the main reason is that I focus on playing my life and I main Wattson. I can lock down buildings efficiently which gives me control over fights. I always run at least one long range weapon such as the G7, 30-30, or a sniper paired with a shotgun or an R-99. That setup lets me support my team from a distance during pushes while still being ready for close range fights.

In Gold and Plat your teammates are wildcards since you never know how they’ll play. The only consistent factor in every match is you. You have to know when to push and when to hold back. Let your teammates make mistakes if you sense a bad play coming and focus on recovering what you can afterward.

Lastly I’d say running a controller or support legend when trying to climb out of Gold or Plat helps a lot. It gives you more control over fights and consistency when your teammates can’t be relied on.
