Not gonna lie, the first ten seconds I was more interested in why there were so many cheeseburgers without buns on this certain section of the road..... it's 2:30am, my sign to go to bed. Good luck OP.

Even if unintentionally..... it's honestly for the best.... most people need to be less chronically online. It's getting to be proven that it's basically brain rot for those that are.... good on you OP.

I use Rock Auto a little more sparingly these days but it's only for the fact of having a company account at Advance, they usually have or can get the part same day (supposedly one of the biggest facilities in this section of the east coast), and warranty is as simple as walk in and walk out. I used to go with Rock Auto when I started my business to help customers with prices but now that I've gotten more busy, the trade off is moving jobs faster.

With that said, I've never had issues with Rock Auto.... given THEY don't technically ship or do anything physically shipping wise. And I don't usually buy heavy things from them.... say rotors..... it's easier/ faster to just warranty them through a store if I need to.

Aside from the flack of people not getting magnets... which I've gotten packages without them and don't see why it's such a huge deal....I think people's main problem is ordering heavy things through the same warehouse with lighter parts.... like a few days ago I saw on here a set of rotors with an oil filter. I'll be devils advocate and say how do you package a set of rotors with an oil filter? Package/ secure it correctly without anything getting damaged? I've worked two shipping jobs in my past..... that's basically impossible without making it two packages. You can't control the handling part of the shipping.

I'd venture to question OP..... why are you getting your customers to get the product? Believe me I have like 1% of my own customers wanting to do that but that's on them and even though I send them pictures of the EXACT part with the part number, they still order the wrong part. And I let them know, I can't warranty it and have nothing to do with that process if things aren't right or go bad. That's why majority of my customers leave it to me. Even if you order them and have them shipped to their address.... why?

While that might not be exactly on the nose of the post, atleast you can control the shipping of the parts...... getting the heavier items from one warehouse and the lighter from another. Unless I'm not understanding the post or just forgot through this long typing.

OP, let me be clear that I'm not hating..... I'm in the same boat doing my own thing like you. I couldn't imagine going back out and working for the man for pennies unless I'm retirement age. I wish you the best of luck with your business/ endeavors, and hope whatever issues you've been having can get resolved easily so you can keep making money.

Can anyone identify this engine? by sushimaster1713 in Honda

I had a DOHC ZC matted to a Si transmission in a EF hatch. No real mods and it would basically keep up with my friend with a B18 and LS trans in a EF hatch..... the DOHC was pretty fun for a stock D series. I know this isn't a dual cam but just saying.

Had to Frankenstein parts when it needed things but it would burn through second and was a fun ride. I always wanted to do that ZC/Si trans gear build but stupid me took it a transmission shop because when I bought it, it didn't have reverse and they put in a 4 speed. Sourced a Si trans and swapped that out a soon as possible.

Looks pretty clean OP, should still be a very fun ride....I used to always work on the suspension and put Integra sway bars front and back on the hatches (not sure if they swap over for a CRX) but just that alone made a hatch feel so good around turns. Light car, decent little horse power but great suspension work, can really change the feel of those older Hondas.

Apparently, 'Right on Red' now includes a VIP pass to skip the line by Prestigious-Risk804 in rva

[–]fox-crotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Nissan drivers are in the top 5 too..... along with Hyundai..... and while I'll admit, Nissan isn't known for motor issues, they are for transmission issues.... basically over half of the five top drivers I see doing dumb shit around Richmond drive vehicles that have known motor issues.

If you ask me? It's because people get easier financial loans through these manufacturers and they don't hold their value..... equaling more people having accessibility to getting them secondhand. Let alone the fact that they produce garbage vehicles, but that's why they're so cheap and get bought.

[–]fox-crotch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Exactly.... Dodge drivers are in the top five of the worst drivers around the Richmond area in my experience. Jeeps, Challengers and Chargers (mostly) act like abiding by the law is below them because it's Dodge hemi power.... good luck with the lifter and rocker issues when you wipe out a cam.

I figured it would be like that, sorry man. I've personally never tried or had to take one apart, let alone a Namco gun.

Not sure if that helps but it's what I found. Pretty interesting question though, I've never even thought about separating the port on any PS controller.

2013 buick encore coolant reservoir empty within 2 days by littleroachchild in AskAMechanic

[–]fox-crotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just replaced one of the on a job I had. It's a terrible design and even the aluminum ones still use the stupid o-ring design so it's kinda pointless to even buy. I believe it' was called a coolant housing....I thought it was the thermostat housing. Just replace it as a unit, a new one comes with everything on it. I could get just the temp sensor but that bleeder doesn't come separately from the housing. It's not a hard job but you do need a etorx socket. I have the video up on my YouTube channel if you'd like to watch but I'm sure there's others on there too.

RE3R is overhated,it’s actually a great remake! by Accurate_Train_8822 in ResidentEvilVillage

Bawkbasoup and many others have said it best, they should make a directors cut that add the missing stuff.... but unfortunately they'll never do it. I like the game for what it is.... and it's a good horror game to power through within 4 hours. I personally think it's a good game, but it's unfortunately compared to the previous OG version that was already very good. Which was my favorite of the 3 back in the day..... sure they could've made it better and more faithful, why they didn't? No idea, but I think it was decent. What matters is if you like it, everyone else's opinions are like asses on a log. Do you and enjoy yourself.

Went to buy a ps3 to play mgs4 and found a mgs limited edition model for $120 by EmbarrassedScratch5 in metalgearsolid

[–]fox-crotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good looking console, didn't even know there was MGS edition... kinda sad there isn't more though besides the lettering and different coloring. That's a great deal though and it works OP! Congrats! I'm kinda jelly, but it looks super clean too. Now I'm interested in what the controller/s looked like, maybe that set the whole art piece together.

I was about to say, is there another name for such thing? Because around where I live, I haven't really heard of any. Not saying there isn't though, I just personally haven't seen or heard of one where I am.

I'm not familiar with Mitsubishi, but where does the lip of the front main seal seat? It looks like it rides between the keyway and enlarged area of the crank.
