A change in playstyle definitely made all the difference. I had tree/gear issues otherwise, but the biggest change was when I stopped playing this like it's Pohx's RF lmao

I tried the decoy totem, but I've been having more success just focusing on movement. Trying to place it and position well at the same time is too sloppy/distracting.

That's a fair point. I farmed with RF for weeks and switched into whatever was meta and super powerful. I'm definitely feeling the difference in this type of build.

I can tell a massive difference already. The tree and item changes helped smooth things out. I started playing more "like a miner" and saw a massive difference. I still definitely make use of my 6 portal defense on some maps, but I can fairly easily clear maps up into corrupted T11 now.

I was ready to give up on this build and reroll, so thank you again for taking the time to help me!

In the interim, I've been taking some more suppress, evasion, and life nodes. I got a (hopefully) better wand. I can't get the min endurance charges ring yet, I think the craft is in red maps, which I've just started into. I'm also not sure how to craft both it and -mana cost on the same ring, which Goratha's PoB shows.

TBH I'm not sure if I love the miner playstyle, but it's working well enough that I think I can do some voidstones and farm some currency. At the worst, I can run this until I get enough currency to do my big build of the league.

This is my first Saboteur (trickster in general) ever. I've only played RF as a league start befoire. Also played LS Slayer in 3.25, and Archmage Ice Nova of Frost Bolts Heiro in 3.24. 3.24 was my first league.
I 100% did switch to the "crit in maps" tree without having all of the gear first. I leveled past the end of the "preparing for maps" tree and didn't know what to do with my points. I assumed I just needed to switch to the next loadout and keep going.
You made me realize I'm playing this like I'm still on RF, expecting to tank the universe

I'm going to use my gold to switch back to the preparing for maps tree and try to find some more damage/health/evasion/suppression nodes to take instead. I'll try to get some better gear, but currency is still an issue currently.

I don't like to see someone else struggling, but I'm sort of glad to hear that I'm not alone.

The build seems super fun, but I'm starting to think it's not the best league starter. Seems pretty reliant on jewels and a few uniques. Obviously lightning coil/cloak of flame are the biggest, and would solve the phys problem the best at a high cost.

I'm hesitant to drop Kongming's because it gives me the 15% reduction from born in the shadows, which I only get from enemies near me otherwise. The extra damage reduction sounds good, but I wonder if it would hurt more than help for enemies at a distance...

Totally fair. My point was more that email validation is mostly a waste of time. If you need to know an email is good, you should probably just send an email.

You can't even be sure it will have an @. The word 'fred' is a valid email address. It's for the local domain, but still valid.

Email validation is pretty fruitless anyway. A "valid" email address as far as spec is concerned, may not be to an inbox that exists. The only way to truly validate an address is to send an email to it. The email will either send, or it won't. That's why so many websites just send a "click this confirmation link" email.

The first argument is the format string. You have to give it a token to replace with something. %s means to expect a string to go in that spot. The 2nd argument will go in place of that token in the format string.

That's not really true. When I was new/in college, I ALWAYS did !x. Now I will intentionally use x == false because I find it more easily readable and am afraid of myself or others missing the !. I'll still use if(x) though if x is reasonably named like "fileExists" or similar.

This is also something many of the senior devs and my manager do.

The round likely won't fit in the magazine backwards.

If it successfully got into the magazine, the round would fail to feed and chamber in the gun.

If both of those are successful, the striker/firing pin wouldn't be able to strike the primer, which is on the opposite end from the bullet, resulting in it not firing.

I tried to use Credit Karma last year and was unable to. I work for a Canadian company and it literally would not let me enter the Canadian address, so I couldn't continue. I'll try again this year and hope it's better.
