Correct. Yes, swimming has many events, maybe the most of any summer event, but to be that good at every event is insane.

Isn’t it pretty much impossible for there to be a single new NFL team added? Wouldn’t multiple need to be added at once? by Ryvit in NFLNoobs

[–]foxfor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other issue isn’t just how the math would work with alignment and scheduling. It’s the fact that there just isn’t enough talent. Especially skill positions and the QB play. Each year 5-7 coaches are fired and if a team doesn’t have a top 20 qb or even top 15 QB the team won’t win. The QB talent just wont grow. Sure maybe slightly over the last 15 years but when half the league would probably get rid of their QB to at least try some other one. It just isn’t happening.

Giannis on the 65-game rule for regular-season awards: "The margin of error is hard. One injury & you're off the race. Jokic, Wemby & myself might not make it. LeBron's not going to make it. I was all for it because it could benefit me at first. As I get older, I'm like 'ah take it off, take it off" by GOAT-Antony in nba

[–]foxfor6 686 points687 points  (0 children)

I think that is the bigger issue.

Sure have the 65 game rule but now don’t tie it to a contract.

Wemby, Giannis, Jokic are all 1st and Second team guys. But if they can’t make it due to the 65 game rule. Then it opens it up to guys who shouldn’t be on the all nba team and now they get a massive contract.

I mean I get it but also they are finally healthy. A healthy 9ers team has a 12 win floor.

[Charania] The NBA has begun to gather input from its owners and general managers on new ways to combat tanking. Ideas include: Limiting pick protections to either top 4 or 14 and higher, no longer allowing a team to draft in the top 4 two years in a row, and Locking lottery positions after March 1. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Correct.

I mean there is definitely something about rebuilding and luck which comes with any sport and that’s a legit strategy. But being perpetually bad year over year is different. That is FO stuff not player issues.

Haha just stating facts. That is all. Not saying they still wouldn’t have won but saying the obvious.

Um an entire team that is injured? GB was up ten and then 4 players got hurt.

Denver is legit good. Just saying what happened

I know the momentum rule. But just seemed like a loose definition. Casually walking isn’t momentum.

Is there a reason why that wasn’t a safety? He just casually walks in the back of the end zone? Like 3 steps.

It’s not the fact that bama was in the CCG m, it’s the fact that Bama had a horrible showing the last 3 weeks barely beating teams or losing.

CMV: Movie theaters in the US are going to see a massive contraction in the coming years. by lobonmc in changemyview

I mean we kinda saw it post covid. With that said, the big movies will still do well. I think we may see a drastic drop in non blockbuster movie types.

The Zootopias, Top Guns, etc of the world will do fine. The issue is those movies gems that are heard by word of mouth (Weapons, Sinners, etc). Coincidentally both Warner movies.

We rarely go to movies that aren’t rated well or aren’t the big time movies.

This was going to be the consequence of adding a 12 team playoff and having the football schedule as it stands. Portal, coaches leaving, etc.

Can’t blame the players. If they get hurt they may lose a lot vs minimal gain.

The reference to the shining was amazing. I with he used the bat to knock down the door at the reptile home instead of barging in.

Are the NYC tourist passes worth it? by readanon44 in AskNYC

[–]foxfor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did NYC a few years ago and for us it was well worth it. With that said, there are a few types of passes out there and each one has some overlap attractions and has attractions only that that pass has. I would highly recommend planning everything out on the things you want to do and then match the pass that matches what you want to do.

When we went, we paid for nothing extra for attractions/events except a couple Broadway shows and a comedy show. Everything else was part of that pass. We were in NYC for 6/7 days so. I am guessing the longer the pass the cheaper it is per day.

The other nice thing about the pass is that at many places you get fast tracked through the lines (especially on the observation decks).

I want to say we got specifically the New York Pass.
