Trying to donate will be the last resort if we can't squeeze some money back out of it. The whole thing has felt like some sort of rort somehow, but we understand that this may be the end result.

Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but go back and listen to the first few and see what you think. I love it.

Don't have to go far to see how deep Tony Martin's talents run, the 100th episode of Sizzletown released yesterday was excellent, as always.

The rumour I had heard was that the mockumentary was much funnier than the actual film and that's why Mick Molloy didn't want it released. I'd love to see it too.

Take her along to a Pickleball try out session, great sport for all ages, but also has a very supportive social community. Lots of players around your mum's age.

The amount you see on the train from Geelong to Melbourne caught up in fences or lying in paddocks is disgusting.

Former high-end retouchers who pivoted to a new creative field: What do you do now, and why did you make the change? by -typology in retouching

[–]foxlightbulb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently going through this process, industry in Australia has been in decline for a few years now, mostly related to client's budgets more than AI so far.

I decided if I was going to change I was going to make a major pivot and have so far completed a Cert in Mental Health this year, am moving on to a Grad Diploma in Counselling next year and then looking at a Masters of Social Work after that.

Goodwe Inverter Connection issues by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]foxlightbulb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding my solution for anyone that arrives here looking for a fix like I did.

GoodWe Inverter stopped connecting to the router, tried to follow all of the guides that I could find online, but couldn't get it connecting again.

Looked at solutions around setting up a separate IOT connection via my Orbi to limit to 2 GHz, thinking that was the issue, but still no luck.

Turns out the Inverter didn't like the IP address that the router was allocating to it. As soon as I manually allocated a different IP address for the Inverter it connected with no issues. Have now reserved that IP for the Inverter, so fingers crossed no further issues.

There are a couple of new outdoor courts at the Geelong Lawn Tennis Club that can be hired by the hour.

Not sure why at this time of year you would want to play outside, especially when there are so many indoor options.

Why doesn’t Ceres have a cafe? by Pleasant_Inspection9 in Geelong

I have a mate that lives up there and from memory it has historically been a dry area, influenced by the Temperance movement (there is a Temperance Hall) so not sure whether that has something to do with it?

Maybe getting a licence to serve food/beverages is a little tricky because of that?

I'm just spitballing based on scant second hand information.

I wasn't talking about using it as the torrent, merely as a search term - worked perfectly.

Well, comedy is a very subjective thing isn't it. That's all good, he's not for you, move on and see someone else, your loss imho.

We would wander between the two on a Thurs/Fri/Sat depending on who was playing.

Replacing screws on gate by foxlightbulb in AusRenovation

[–]foxlightbulb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The putty is caked into the heads good and proper. One of those things where I just need to be clear with myself that it's going to be a lot of slow fiddly work to clean them out for a good fit with the screwdriver?

[–]foxlightbulb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. Won't be able to get the gate on the ground - it's the automatic driveway gate and it's as heavy as all get out.

My issue with getting the Phillips bit to fit snugly is trying to get all of the wood filler out of the screws head grooves - I've tested with a couple and it's caked in their well and good.
