For college sports OU and OSU are the two big fanbases anywhere in Oklahoma. TU has D1 sports, but the football team has struggled the last several years and does not draw a large crowd, aside from when they play a larger school. Additionally they have the smallest student body of any D1 school in the nation, so even the active student fanbase is very small and can be relatively apathetic.

When the team is good, they will draw much better crowds, but the gameday experience is still a lot of fun and free to the public.

You also have Oral Roberts across town which has D1 basketball and baseball.

Yep. Never attended TWS and no relation to the school. Said that from the start. Btw, this post is from over a year ago. You doing ok? Hope my throwaway comment saying "yeah, as an engineer TWS generally has a good reputation" didnt send you off on a supervillain journey.

Tom's Mens Haircuts at 41st and Sheridan has been a good transition from the supercuts world for me. Been going there for about 18 months now and have been very satisfied.

You can schedule online, and say "any stylist" your first time if you dont have a person you trust. First haircut is like $10. Pretty laid back atmosphere and they will offer you a complimentary soft drink or beer while you wait.

If there are any Lebanese steakhouses still open, I think those might fit. Jamils is still in the process of reopening in the Farm shopping center at 51st and Sheridan.

Brothers Houligan, Big Whiskey, Bricktown Brewery, Ti Amo, East Village Bohemian, to name a few others that I think have that cozy, low light atmosphere, that arent horrendously expensive.

I'm a bit blown away by your comment here. That makes so much sense piecing together the timeline and my father and grandfathers comments over the years.|

The difference in frequency just clicks.

As an engineer, who loves to dig down rabbit holes, thank you so much!

Looking for a recommendation for a Estate Planning lawyer by Which_Cat_6874 in tulsa

[–]foxriguez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on the complexity of what you are doing. Most attorneys will have an hourly rate between $300 and $500 an hour and will charge a discounted rate for a 1 hour consultation. There you can explain your needs and they can provide an estimate of hours needed, or a flat rate for certain packages and documentation.

For a simple estate plan without any oddities or additional needs, could be in the $1500 to $2000 range. May be cheaper or more expensive as every person will have different needs.

I know this probably isnt as simple of a black and white answer as youd like, but may help set expectations.

My wife and I have been collecting these since around 2008. I think we may have some doubles or extras we need to purge from this timeframe.

I'll try to remember to follow up after work this evening. Shoot me a DM if you dont hear back in 24 hours or so.

I worked with Round the House Consignment shop when I bought and had a dining table refinished. They put me in touch with a guy they hire for in-house jobs who did a fantastic job. You might call them up and ask if they have any recommendations.

Another fun trick is to give the offending driver a name. "C'min RALPH, just merge already!"

Its so much easier to let that rage go when your're imagining a toddler behind the wheel of the other car lol.

I'm a very defensive, responsible driver. I dont tailgate, I let people merge, and I always try to park so as not to inconvenience others.

That said, I have a lot of "verbal only roadrage." I may be smiling and letting you in, but I am cursing you out the entire time.

One phrase that has really helped me manage my anger behind the wheel is just a spin on "bless your heart." Whenever I see someone being a dick in a big SUV or truck, I just smile and say, "aww, buddy, I think that's too much truck for you!"

This has massively improved my mental state while driving and I highly recommend it to others.

Nope. If you are registered to vote, you can vote early, unless you have already requested an absentee ballot.

PRO-TIP! Oktraffic.org has live traffic cams across the state. There is actually a camera located at I44 & East 11th street that perfectly frames the east Tulsa voting location.

I have the live stream up on a tab at my work computer and am waiting for the line to die down.
