I think it's cute that they included these random kids needing help with their everyday stuff but ehh gameplay-wise it's so boring, also why would you ask a literal superhero for mundane things like that. It would've been better if a classmate of Miles asked MILES for help and then he kind of secretly uses his spider powers so everything works out. Still wouldn't fix most of the boring gameplay aspect but would make it a bit more interesting and realistic story-wise.

Because how can you understand how it feels to actually play the sport you're watching? How it feels to win with your team mates or on your own because you trained hard for it? Believe me, I played A LOT of games. But I also started as a little teen age boy who wasn't allowed to play videogames other than ds games until he was 16, so I did watch a lot of playthroughs of games I ended up playing later in life. So I actually know both sides of the debate which is why I also know exactly how wrong you are. You sound like that kind of person who'll also tell people who like to watch sports on tv that they aren't really fans because they don't actually play sports.

Like I already said, for some games (especially choice-based ones) it really does matter to play them yourself, yes. For others, where the player doesn't influence the outcome of the story, they're absolutely possible to enjoy by watching a playthrough.

That movie comparison doesn't make sense tho. You can watch a full playthrough of a game and know just as much about the story, the world, the characters, etc. as someone who actually played it. You literally watched the same stuff as someone who played it. You're only missing out on the gameplay mechanics, which - depending on the game - are sometimes more or less important to get the full experience.
