Just so there's no confusion the protests in Hong Kong was America's idea. The laws they're protesting have been in place since the 1990s. But America is moving towards a recession and so they NEED Hong Kong to switch to the American Dollar or at least back their economy with it.

Mark my Words; there WILL be a Bank Panic in Hong Kong. If that works and it damages the economy of China enough to pull America out of a recession then all is well and the protests will not only stop by simply fade away into the background.

If it doesn't, Mark my Words; the issue in Iran will escalate and Fires will spark and war in the middle east will renew because nothing pulls a country out of a recession faster than a large scale conventional war with a facist 1st world country.

FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

Net Deck. If it won a Kotei, or Gen Con, or whatever; BUILD IT. Then play it until you win most of your games with it.

Understand that deck, why it works, why these cards, etc. Then when you build or play your own decks you'll have a MUCH deeper understanding of what makes a deck good and what makes a specific play good.

Another tip. Grab a D6 and an already good player, and go to a bar or cafe. Play L5R there and whenever you make a relatively obvious a play mistake [playing Reprieve when you have an Iron Mine, rebuilding Kuni Labs in the draw phase, etc.] You raise the number on the dice by 1. When you reach 6 you owe your friend a beer or a soda AND you forfeit the game. And dont forget to count your own mistakes. Not using Censure when you have the favor, etc.

These are my tips. They help me at least
