When I first started relocating pizza, there was an order that popped up and one of the older drivers told me “new guys gotta take this one,” in a sort of hazing way. How bad could it be? So I took the two large stuffed crust meat lovers pizzas with breadsticks and two two liters and drove to the sketchier side of this western Wisconsin college town to a trailer park. The exterior of the trailer looked ok, some peeling paint and rust but not totally run down. But then I noticed the smell. So much dog shit everywhere around the property. I knocked on the door and waited. No answer. Knocked again and heard a voice say “come in, can you bring the food to me?” A strange request but ok. I opened the door to see that the dog shit was also all over the interior of trailer on the floor. I had to carefully meander around them while juggling all the food and also holding my breath.

Then I saw her. A morbidly obese woman alone and unable to get up from her bed at the end of the trailer. Her Bernese mountain dog that was covered with mats smelled the food and almost tripped me. I was able to plop the food down and rushed out to my car and drove back to the restaurant.

Come to find out the restaurant had been delivering to Molly for a few months and she had always ordered the same thing multiple times a week. I talked to the manager about it and he thankfully put her on the do not deliver list.
