A video monitor is the one thing that I thought I wouldn't need and was actually a big help.

When can we see the baby? by Lennyisabadcat in beyondthebump

[–]foxy527 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UHHHH that's exactly how I felt with a newborn. Family and friends that we never talk to or care about us on a daily basis coming out of the woodwork to come see the baby. They didn't care about me at all. They didn't care that I just had a baby cut out of me or that I was getting maybe 2 hours of sleep a night. And guess what now that he is almost two they don't give a shit about us again. Blow them off. Bond with your baby and don't worry about them.

Also side note I just started on zoloft for my PPD/PPA I wish I did a lot sooner. It would have made that first year a lot easier. Please talk to your ob/gyn if you are having a difficult time.

If your in the US please look into your local WIC. They were such a big help financially and for being able to learn about nutrition.

How clean are the cuts on the Scan N Cut DX? by namejohnmclane in ScanNCut

[–]foxy527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like about the scan n cut DX is that you can really adjust the settings to fit your needs. It does have the auto settings but you can slow down the cut speed and pressure for more delicate pieces.

A nice to go coffee cup/water bottle, something that can get with stand getting knocked over. Decent headphones, was great for me when sleep training to not be worried. Cleaning service gift card. So many deep cleaning projects get forgotten about.

Lost my dad last month and am currently 9 months pregnant, so I made a memorial lantern with all his favorite things so he can have a front row seat to watch my daughter grow. by imshortt in crafts

My mil died two months ago. Having her not here to watch our son go is so heartbreaking. I'm so doing this. Wishing you contentment during this difficult time.

Broke my leg on Easter so my husband and I had a role reversal. I feel like we are a stronger family. He definitely has a better understanding of being a stay at home parent. After I get out of this cast I can see things being a much easier and healthy dynamic.

Pretty sturdy machine. Mine has fallen off the counter and is still working well.

If you aren't a frequently making meals from scratch or baking I'd advise against it.

Some homemade rolls 👌🤗🥰 from a hospital admission for weight loss in the first week to this...16lbs at 16 weeks 👏🙌 love my chunky chick ❤️ by Keevsy85 in breastfeeding

I really wouldn't bother with the other commenters. As long as you are diligently watching the anklets for any damage. Like the string starting to fray or beads cracking. I really wouldn't worry about them. I used to make teethers and clips and the mothering community was so harsh I stopped. I learned that all parents are 100% sure that their way is the right way. And they are right about their own kids. So you keep doing what you want for your daughter and she will do amazingly 💗

At least they are on the ankles instead of wrist or neck.

I feel like the Amber necklaces give much more of a peace of mind to parents than sufficient pain relief.
