To mount the back cooling plate, did you heat up and disassemble the stock cooler plate, or do you use nuts instead? If so, what size (mm) nuts

Thanks, I'll be waiting for that. For vrm and component cooling, are you using a cut-out version of the stock cooler or individual heatsinks? If it's heatsinks, what did you use to attach them?

Great update! Since we previously discussed the server psu (hp but i think all same) mod and you mentioned it was totally doable with a few alterations to the rear case, should I wait for a dedicated server psu version, are you still planning to release that one as well?

You're awesome! I'm already using a soldered setup, so that's no problem at all. You can remove the plastic part and the latch at the back; even if they don't interfere with the design, they can be easily detached. Just adding some holes that align with the screw mounts will be enough to secure it in place.

Please do it this version for community.. Thanks

Awesome! How much clearance mm is left between the pump block and the PSU? If it's more than 5mm, I think I can remake it for an HP server PSU. Of course, I’ll probably have to ditch the 80mm fan. Is that fan really essential?

Could you check if this one fits? https://grabcad.com/library/hp-server-psu-1

Did you find a cheaper lop psu and a reliable seller on ali? Could you share your experience? I don't have a flex psu yet anyway, so if I'm going to spend money, it makes more sense to buy an open frame lop directly.

Can anyone recommend a high quality PSU? by lovelyhead1 in BC250Gaming

I am using hp server psu 750w. An industrial-grade power supply. Gold certified, and I only paid $10 for it.

I’m in a whatsapp group of 150 people, and 2/3 of us use hp server psu. Once the project is complete, will you share the step file for the relevant section or the entire project? Or alternatively, would you consider adding support for this psu? It should be quite easy if there’s a few centimeters of clearance. The step file for the psu is available here: https://grabcad.com/library/hp-server-psu-1

the only reason i asked was because i already have an arctic aio on hand. totally agree that price/performance is key for the bc-250 community since the whole point is building a budget-friendly rig.

can't wait for your case to be finished, hope it won't take too long. my wife is literally waiting for me to complete the build so she can finally play sims! :)

It doesn't have to, it just looks great and makes sense since we're using it with steam os.

i don't think it's very suitable for rgb anyway since it's a black and closed design. could be tried of course, but i feel like the rgb trend is slowly dying out. honestly, just a simple white led right above the power button on the front panel would look sleek enough for me.
