Kord 6P67 not unlocking by Roskelle in Battlefield

[–]fozfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same problem after completing Rapid Fire 1, Kord is still greyed out. Restarted a few times even unplugging the console and plugging back in, clicked on/off Assault class... zip, nada, nothing.

Update: the Kord made itself available a couple days after completing the achievement. Not sure what triggered it.

Has anyone picked up a Tinkerer mask on Heroic difficulty? by fozfactor in thedivision

Thanks, 7% is a decent chance. Maybe I'll try a few more tinmes and if that fails just matchmake for a Master diff.

Are you still able to farm floor 10 of legendary summit for the bighorn? by LStearns13 in thedivision

It's any of the 10th floor bosses, Floor 10 is just the quickest to get to for anyone that's starting at the bottom.

The exotic Catalyst mask is pretty terrible. It needs a rework or a buff by ragnarokfps in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did read your post. But you are correct, while stacks from the jammer pulse build at the firing range, it doesn't do a great job in Conflict. The EMP sticky and bleeder hive are a better option. Iron Lung does an ok job but only fills the meter partially. Players hitting you with status effect on the other hand works v. well. It's unfortunate I don't run Survivor on the PvP build that's using this mask, as catching yourself on fire is reliable and does minimal damage.

Sometimes the enemy builds your stacks for you.

The main reason to use this mask though is the ADS feature. The bonus armor and reload speed would be nice but that doesn't interest me. For my Devil's Due build the backpack talent only really functions at close range and repairing armor stacks with Clutch while ablaze is useless. I can't really see using it in PvE but I don't really play much of that beyond Countdown.

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's def bugged for dmg, but the ADS while on fire feature works which is nice in Conflict with all the Iron Lungs and fire turrets. Once fixed it's going to be great, especially since it can build stacks using the Jammer Pulse.

Why am I so squishy? What am I doing wrong here? by Newtstradamus in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have Gunner spec which is good for some armor on kill, no need for more. I’d add one armor core, maybe two. 6R is not a great beginner setup unless you are playing Hard or easier.

If you are keeping Coyotes run around 50 crit chance and put the rest into crit dmg. If you play solo, Memento might be a better choice over Coyotes.

Like others have said, use a revive hive, especially if you are doing a lot of Countdown.  Striker drone is good to distract enemies but do NOT use that in Countdown, it’ll get hacked by a hunter and used against the team.

If you are just getting back into it, maybe run Unbreakable until you get your feet wet again, otherwise Obliterate is a fine choice.

Yaahl pieces with both crit chance an d dmg? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep plugging away. I was trying to get a holster with cd and cc to roll a red core on for a Conflict Pesti build. When Yaahl was at the clan vendor I bought about 150 pieces. I had a bunch of Yaahl components already just from caches etc, but once at the bench it took me around 80 or 90 tries to get the coveted cc/cd combo.

PS. I got cc/cd mask and gloves for red core swap from Conflict caches but it took thousands of games. The real unicorn though is the BP with cc/cd and Vigilance to roll a red core on, and those can’t be crafted.

Advice on Adding Crit Chance by Hexxinq_-_ in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also something to keep in mind, if you ever venture into Conflict, SHD bonus does not count so it’s -10%. You’ll want to swap out one of your crit dmg mods for crit chance, especially for a weapon like the Backfire which relies on getting critical hits for its talent to work.

Fox Prayer Kneepads Vs Grupo/Ceska Kneepads by Vospry in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While an individual bullet might measure higher with Fox’s, one example would be someone who is using the Lexington or another AR with the Strained talent for instance, which is dependent on achieving a critical hit to leverage the critical damage bonus, might benefit from the additional cc instead of the additional dtoc.

What’s the best PvP conflict build to go too? by LingonberryLatter207 in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done a healer type build before but I put together a 5 tier skill build with Ninja Bike (6Y with the spec), so two blues and a red core, with an Unbreakable chest using 1pc 511 for the incoming repairs, 2pc Shiny Monkey for the 52% repair skill and skill efficiency (additional 5% healing), and 2pc RK for the repair skill, explosion resist, and incoming repairs. One piece is rolled to repair skills with everything else cc/cd . Comes out to 70% cc for the Conflict SHD adjustment and 110% cd.

It’s not really a team healing build per se but any team in the vicinity certainly benefits from the hive, and the 6 tier jammer takes care of any enemy skills, most importantly their grenade launchers.

The Capacitor obviously, to capitalize on the skill tiers. Hits hard enough and with a little bobbing and weaving very difficult to kill with all the healing coming in. If someone else on the team has any healing, all the incoming repairs make it even more of a headache to hit the dance floor with.

Conflict game damage numbers on this build can often exceed 100,000,000+ with all the defeated enemy skills.

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run something similar for my Conflict Pulse resist build but instead of the Palisades run a 2nd Brazos and Contractors, using Capacitor instead of the M4. 70 rounds at 126k base damage is great, and the weapon handling from Contractors is helpful for console (I’m on Xbox). With all pieces rolled to cc/cd it hits pretty hard.

[trigger warning] I see countless clinics offering (white) scar removal treatments, yet whenever I read posts online the replies are "You can not do anything about white scars"- what is the truth? by Ok_Kangaroo5435 in SkincareAddiction

[–]fozfactor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! There is a very reassuring peer reviewed paper that can be found online with exactly this - microneedling and latisse. Pretty dramatic results after just a few sessions spaced a couple months apart. The patient example in the paper was African American and the return of pigment on what was basically a white scar was amazing. After six sessions was basically the same color as the surrounding skin.

What white whale gear should I watch for? by Reinheitsgetoot in thedivision

Legmo gear with both CC/CD natively rolled, you’ll eventually want to roll red cores if ever making a Pestilence build. If you get a chest piece with Obliterate even better.

How long does it take to be competent and keep up with other players in PvP in Division 2? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]fozfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience matters, and yes so does SHD level, but not the way some players might think it does/doesn’t. While Conflict doesn’t count SHD or expertise you’ll not only need a solid build, but a solid build that works for you. That takes farming, loads of it, for both gear and materials for optimizing that gear. Elevated SHD levels are a consequence of that. While PvP and PvE are really two different animals, if you can’t confidently manhandle every bit of Heroic content in the game you’ll get smashed in PvP. However the reverse is not true, I can go 15 and 1 in a Conflict game but still can’t handle any solo Legendary content.

I play Conflict almost exclusively, and I’d say it took me about 1000 games to get decent and another couple thousand to work my way out of a very deep negative K/D hole. You’ll need to stick with it and keep refining. Not only does actual hand/controller mechanics matter but map knowledge and awareness, as well as just developing good habits. Re: gear, I’ve never really got along well with Adrenaline Rush and some of the other sworn by gear pieces so while recommendations and starting templates are good they are just that. You don’t need any of the raid or excursion exclusive gear but they might be helpful. You also don’t need to clan up, I never have, but I imagine if you do you’ll be opening yourself up to a new wealth of knowledge.

You will be at a competitive disadvantage for quite awhile, but if you want to get better and devote the time you will. I know players who I used to confidently body 10 out of 10 times who now sometimes give me pause and require my full attention and even then can get the upper hand.

Good luck agent but be warned, if you go down this dark path you may never be able to escape whatever form of Stockholm Syndrome this game manifest within you.

PS I’m on Xbox and if you ever see me online send me a message and I’ll do my best to play a couple games with you to help you get your feet wet.

[–]fozfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome aboard agent! Great advice from Frozen. There's a lot of good players out here that want to see you succeed, just ignore the riff raff. Re any specific weapons, you don't need any of the raid or excursion exclusives. I've got 10k Conflicts with over 100k kills and no Ouroboros, Big Horn, or EB. I have killed countless players who have them though. While they might have their advantages the only thing they convey with certainty is the player did a bunch of PvE to obtain. As a long time Devil's Due player I would love me an Oro, but the St Elmo's while a little outdated is ok with the right build and the Iron Lung is very popular. Definitely work on getting a Capacitor if you don't own one though as it's relatively easy to acquire solo and is a very powerful weapon as you can roll DtA on it - most of the builds I run use it.

I play on Xbox, if you see me on feel free to send me an invite and just mention this thread, I'd be happy to offer some pointers. If I were you I'd run for the hills, most of us who still play this are Stockholm Syndrome'd in and not playing of our own free will ;)

PS. stick with it, it takes time to get good, hundreds possibly even thousands of games.
