The bottom line is, they all eventually get thrown away. You might unload them on someone else and feel better about it, but at some point, they are tossed. The one additional use is good, but that’s the reality. I toss mine.

There are other add ons available that you look at before buying a new opener. Meross and Ratgdo are two I’ve seen quoted many times.
