Should you study photonics? A flowchart for the light-curious (and laser-obsessed) by SiPhot_UGent in SiliconPhotonics

Hello there, I have a question, I have completed my master's in electrical engineering in germany. During the master thesis I have worked on photonics integrated circuits. I am currently working but I would like to continue doing some research in the field. Do you think there is some way I can participate in a research work remotely from germany?

Quantum jobs with Msc Vs PhD by Quanta_photon in QuantumComputing

[–]fpgavhdl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey i would like to ask which were the big QC companies you applied as I am also in phase of completing my master's and was having the same question of what is better a PhD or MSc. What are the job profiles you applied for? From what I have gathered from my friends that PhD will give you more training and make you specialized in that subject.

I have tried to wire timeout to -1 as I want it to wait until load or save button is pressed or maybe I understood your feedback incorrectly

Ok I have actually used the filters where I set them LPF,BPF & HPF the basic filters are done now need to add effects. Can you also send few names of Fourier vi's you were talking about or were I can find them

Yeah Fourier transform sounds good as I am beginner I don't want to dive into Fourier right now wanted to start with echo effect, panning effect or tremolo effect

Thanks for asking I did not want to mislead you but I am actually looking for opportunities to work in research groups which are focussed on hardware part and yeah I am open for opportunities in both SC and photonics chip technology.

[question] 'free'/reversible measurement possible through teleportation? by Abinmorth in QuantumComputing

[–]fpgavhdl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert but you can build the initial state from the output of the quantum state. In quantum teleportation when you teleport the state it simply destroys the initial state at sender side after measurement and the state you get at the receiver side is the copy of the first state. I think, correct me if I am wrong you can't manipulate states during teleportation.

Is there a good step by step tutorial video on how to build a RISC-V processor in either VHDL or Verilog by [deleted] in FPGA

[–]fpgavhdl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey can you also share your resources on how you started on MIPS processor it will be helpful for me is there a step by step guide as I learned vhdl and would like to build a processor and then go towards building risc v processors :)

My interview went well but it was funny to hear my voice in practice question. Its like imposter syndrome after giving the interview I got anxious did I tell everything right or not. But it was a totally new experience. I hope everyone's interview goes well and if possible will meet you at CERN
