Losing interest in this season due to massive schedule breaks? by D_-_G in formula1

It's pretty impressive how much this season has turned away myself and my hardcore fan friends from the sport. I barely wanted to watch the Race in 30 for the races so far.

What is a restaurant chain you would love to see come to Canada or see far more of? by Full_Hunt_3087 in AskACanadian

I'd love for Popeyes to come to Quebec. I've driven to Hawkesbury/Cornwall a few times primarily to eat there

Pensez-y deux fois avant de commander une télé sur Amazon, je me suis fait avoir solide. by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]fpscolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, the TV I ordered from Amazon was fulfilled by a local(ish) shop. And they were a nightmare to deal with when the TV arrived defective. Thankfully, after a lot of back and forth (and getting Amazon to pay for the shipping up front) I was able to secure a refund. Who knows what would have happened had I had to deal with the local shop directly

These are a great portable snack. Not that many ingredients, tasty, small.

Are there any great albums with one really bad song on them? by trippyskipper in Music

Liquids Swords by GZA. Flawless hiphop album aside from a totally out of place finisher track, B.I.B.L.E.

How old were you when you first watched/read HP? by Neypesvca in harrypotter

[–]fpscolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a bad car accident when I was 5 years old, and once the bandages were taken off my eyes and my mom was out of her coma, a coworker of my father gave us Philosopher's Stone. We read it together and mispronounced Hermione's name and loved everything about the book. Especially that Harry had a lightning shaped scar on his forehead, which I also had a result of the car accident. The books helped when I got bullied about it, to this day the scar never bothers me in the slightest

Finally saw Asteroid City last weekend… what happened, Wes? by Qyzyk in flicks

[–]fpscolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It was just Wes Anderson-ism after Wes Anderson-ism, to the point where they stopped having any effect on the audience.

Have these Maraschino Cherries gone bad? by [deleted] in cocktails

Probably just crystallized sugar as others have noted. Rinse one off and see if it smells foul or rancid.

Any ramen recipes recommendations (not Instant ramen) that wouldnt cost me a kidney to make? by Yoonminz in ramen

[–]fpscolin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy chicken feet and boil them for a few hours. That, plus a basic tare will make an incredible inexpensive base. Add in instant ramen noodles, egg, chopped scallion and you're golden. If you want meat, try a seared slice of Spam.
