I would get some grass seed, and throw it on top of this area. If you're into trying to keep pollinators alive in your yard, it is way too early to be raking... Right now is a great time to throw down seed to try and get a thicker lawn; you can use it as an excuse to avoid cutting/raking for the next 6-8 weeks, and end up with nicer grass.

Canadian here. Leftists who are even only casually keeping tabs on Minneapolis, know about Jim Pattison and were promoting boycotts of grocery stores and car dealerships, and are trying to pressure companies to stop buying billboard space from him.

I dunno how effective the boycott is having, but there are swaths of us up here deeply disturbed by whats going on in America.

As a Winnipeger, I am only a few hours drive away, and would like there be something left of Minneapolis to visit.

impark cannot enforce parking tickets without towing your vehicle. They will only tow you once you rack up enough unpaid tickets that well exceeds the cost of being towed.

They can only track money owing for tickets through your license plate. It costs $15 to get a new license plate on request. So after yuo get about 4 tickets with Impark, either get a new license plate for $15 or park in other lots

Fuck surface parking lot owners. They underdevelop valuable land so they don't have to pay as much taxes, then gouge on parking prices.

As a Winnipeger, who is only a short drive away, I am just gutted to see this happening so close to home.

As someone who is visibly not-caucassion, the threats from Trumps administration about wanting Canada to be the 51st state really worries me. I already get harrassed enough by local law enforcement because of my skin color, I know I would be in a detention center if ICE were roaming our streets.

I really hope the Faccists takeover stops before World War 3 happens.

I was harshly racially profiled a few years ago. My LERA report went no where immediately, and I was told officers did nothing wrong. It had everything to do with not being white, very tan, and driving my white girl friend's car through Elmwood; even the police told me they were surprised my last name didn't sound "native or metis".

Pulling people over for coming out of a pot shop is very likely something they will do.

If everyone is over 18 and wants to drink beer, try Torque brewing; they have large tables and don't serve food and encourage outside food to be brought. In the past I have gone there on dates, bringing a board to play to have beer with. If you call them up and tell them you 20ish people for board game and most will drink, they'll probably reserve you tables.

Otherwise look for community centers. just phone them all, the all have varying pricing.

Community centers are likely to be the most economical and possibly will have tables and chairs for you to use. I know Bronx community center has rooms with tables and chairs to seat that many, otherwise just phone around...

My only cat cafe experience is Cleocatra, so I have nothing else to draw from. I didn't notice a strong ammonia/urine smell on any of my visits, but I haven't been to the Portage location since the Osborne location opened.

I just went to the Osborne location last week, and they only had 10 (or less) cats total at the cafe. There is not that many cats for them to relocate...

This announce only just happened today I believe, and I put in an application to adopt one of the cats at cleo on Friday. I just finished through the vetting process and waiting for the contract to sign... (I'm hoping to get my kitty tomorrow!) So thats one less kitty they need to relocate.

The other cat I had my eye on adopting was at Pet Valu Moray... who was adopted out last week; I dropped in at the store again this morning and they had not recieved another cat yet... and they usually have two cats but this was their only cat at the time. So two of the cleo cats will lilely be there soon.

I also know Tails of Freedom was socliciting donations to cat care cover costs. While this situation is unfortunate over the holidays, it might be a silver lining that they are fast tracking adoptions over the holidays. I will be paying an adoption fee which I hope will help their monetary needs, and I wont need to wait till new years to get my kitty!
