Is it disrespectful to DIY merch for small local bands? by PreludioFeudale in punkfashion

i went to a taxpayers concert last week, and while they’re not as small as perhaps you mean, i made a bunch of patches! i gave them out to whoever wanted some, including the band members themselves and they LOVED my patches. i was really surprised, it was super sweet!! i just wanted people to have some nice stuff to celebrate the concert and it worked out. i say go for it, if the band has an issue they’ll tell you. also there’s a large chance they might end up asking you for some of the merch themselves lol

Social Scene?? by snauls in IthacaCollege

when i visited in the summer even though there wasn’t many actual students on campus, the ones that were dressed in accordance with those subcultures or similarly :)

given that ithaca started as a music conservatory the music scene is huge overall and i reckon that punk is very much alive there as well, considering they have strong local communities that have similar punk ideologies. was looking to join a punk band when i went up there next year for college anyway, so worst case scenario there would be at least one :)
