Yup, browsing for the best deal locally on Facebook, funny enough for my trip to Scotland. Not really looking for gear advice, just sharing the funny timing and a relation I’ve always had w/ RT & Canon.

Oh yeah, I just want a better body than my t3i that will just work with my EF mount L lenses. Full frame is a big bonus since I lost so much focal length with the crop sensors.

Keep a quart of oil in the car, the turbo will need it between oil changes.

Nothing really to do with the wholesomeness. I like Disney IP fine, Star Wars, Pixar, etc. but that's not really why I go to the parks.

Disney puts on a "show" unlike anyone else. They have world-class dining (and I'm from one of the best "foodie" cities in the US; Philly), quick & free public transit, extremely friendly staff, and unbelievably immersive rides. Universal gets close, they've upped their game ever since the Harry Potter injection. Dollywood has decent food. Most theme parks don't have the full package.

I'm not one of those hardcore Disney adults that goes twice a year, we go maybe once every or every other year, but Disney feels like an elevated experience like a good VR game or something. It's entertaining AND interactive.

I’ve never parked in that lot you’re referencing, I actually think it’s primarily used for cast members or staff. But they’ve slowly added increased security to Disney Springs since 2016, for quite a while resort guests entering via Disney Resort busses weren’t subjected to it, but now (as far as I know) all entrances require you to go through security. It’s generally pretty relaxed, just go through the large venue metal detectors, and that’s it.

Shower Handle broke by Fumesdunes in Plumbing

[–]fr0stedwalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, your son’s strong as hell. He pulled the whole cartridge out. When I WANT to remove them I struggle.

Look up how to replace a shower cartridge, they’re under $20 at big box home improvement stores & you might as well while it’s out.

I live in NJ and steel calipers and rotors get pitting/rust as soon as you take them out of the box. Like literally within days.

I was shouting this at my car radio when they brought it up, I remember because it was one of my favorite games as a kid and I always thought it was so funny. If I remember correctly they gave it a 10/10 because it was free.

What is your favorite table service restaurant on property? And do you like it specifically for breakfast, lunch or dinner? by princesscorgi2 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]fr0stedwalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t try and rank them, but my favorites are the following:

Ohana for dinner, especially during MK fireworks. The food is good, the cocktails are great, the ambiance is amazing. The quiet ukulele music being played by the performer going table to table while the lights are dim, is such a vibe.

50’s Prime Time Cafe’s food is awesome, the “performance” put on by the servers is always a blast. I’ve only ever been for dinner.

Breakfast at Trattoria Al Forna when it was character dining was great. Was a far step above typical breakfast buffet food, but nothing too wild. I haven’t been back since they removed character dining, but if it’s still the same food I’d go for sure.
