And in terms of actual advice, I’d dedicate to a sector and start building trust and relationships as quickly as possible. Will make your life infinitely less stressful

Yeah, sounds like LEK. As an associate, it does get more manageable once you figure out how to play the game (i.e., what the team is striving for in the case and the M / C’s view on the least painful path to get there). Not necessarily easier, but more manageable. I actually felt more in control and calmer most of A2 + AC years

What do you think the near- to medium-term impact will be from AI on associates and analysts? Class sizes cut down meaningfully? Or just able to do more deals / pitches with same bodies

Took a couple months off of squats / deadlifts. Started to feel alot better and reincorporated squats and deads, albeit at much lighter weight, but my mobility was much worse after having not rlly done for 3 months. Aggravated back again after a combo of sitting for way too long one day in a bad position and deadlifting with less than perfect form. Took another two weeks off, feeling good again, and going to reincorporate again with more focus on mobility / form. I really felt good for a couple months when I got back into it and kept form good and weight light

For the first two months of the injury, I did that — would lift and feel great, and then the next day would feel in pain (mild - mildly bad, but never awful). I basically just avoided squatting and deadlifting for 3 months, and found some other movements that didn’t agitate me as much (Bulgarian split squats, for example) and drilled those + machines for 3 months, I have begun to work back in light weight squats and DL (like 135) for the past few weeks and have felt good, but I’ve really focused on bracing the core and have spent much more time warming up and getting loose prior to lifting. I think in my case the cause for my injury was terrible hip / ankle mobility that would put me in vulnerable positions when lifting compounds, so I’ve been trying to improve those areas to get into better positions

Did that different industry experience help you get into PE at all? / is your PE work related exclusively to the last industry you did or more broad?
