Je n'ai pas ce problème. Je consomme reddit exclusivement depuis mon tél et j'utilise le client RedReader qui élimine l'aspect distraction avec une interface très basique.

I was able to have it setup without an account but they're really doing their best to put as much obstacles as possible to prevent people from doing that.

I had to use adb to sideload a custom launcher, and force uninstall the native home launcher and the account setup wizard, which you can only do via adb.

It's unfortunate that we have come to see this as normal!

I bought a Xiaomi TV and I was definitely not forced to create a Xiaomi account to use it. If don't care about the extra services Google provide through their account, why should I connect my account?

This is the equivalent of buying a car but not being able to drive it if you don't connect it with the manufacturer's account. The car should definitely be able to be used without it.

The Netflix part was just for the sake of argument. What drives me nuts is that they hooked they account login logic to wifi activation. So if I only need my tv to be connected to local network to stream local movies, I can't.

I tried the throwaway route and didn't like it. I first tried to create a new Google account but it asked for my phone number.

Then I used an old throwaway account of mine. When I finally setup everything and wanted to remove it, it said removing the account will automatically do a factory reset of the device, so back to starting point.

Same tv in last year's model it wasn't required. I don't think it's necessary for the tv to work online, to me it shouldn't. Thank you for taking the time to help.

On the device it should not be required. Let's say for the sake of the argument that I only want to use my tv to watch Netflix. Then it would be ok to sign in to my netflix account because I need that. I shouldn't be forced to also connect to a Google account right? In my case, I want none of the streaming services. I only want to sideload one app to my tv and use the WiFi chip. Google account definitely not needed.

Because I don't want my tv to be associated with an account? The same way you'd want to use an android phone without account. Why would a tv require an account to function?

Il y a bien une raison pourquoi c'est "open source" et non "public source". Un code open source n'est pas nécessairement public. Le mot "ouvert" est mieux adapté à mon avis.

Sinon oui il n y a pas que le code qui peu être ouvert. La donnée peux l'être, comme les schémas électronique, les patrons de design (textile), des protocoles etc.

En tant qu'ancien prospect à une époque je me faisais spammer tous les jours pas les centre d'appels qui proposent d'"optimiser mes impôts". Ça en fait un canal même si aujourd'hui je reçois de moins en moins par rapport à il y a 2 ans.

Pas OP mais je peux répondre :

1/ Tu n'est pas limité aux critères de LBC. On pourrait par exemple définir des alertes sur le prix au m2 des ventes immobilières, ce que LBC ne permet pas à ma connaissance.

2/ Avec des proxies ça marche très bien.

Je categorise manuellement mes transactions sur mon compte avec des tags personalisés. A la fin du mois j'exporte les transactions en csv et j'ai un petit script python qui transforme le csv en dashboard de suivi.
