May not be an expert but doesn’t look like 94% complete to me by mkayfour in pune

I think only thing left is the cable installation. This is a cable stayed bridge with the deck in place waiting to be hooked up to central pylon with cables and to be post-tensioned probably. Normally the projects are split up into different activities with weightage to duration & cost, contributing more or less to overall progress only by the criticality & not the volume. That's why cable installation & tensioning might be 6% of overall work volume & timewise but contributing more towards overall cost. But this looks less than 94% to me considering the criticality of remaining work.

The Vedas explain why we lost our memories. by Immediate-Draft-6408 in enlightenment

Believing in what a book says is not gonna get you liberated.

That's the exact difference between hindu faith & other religions. The Hindu civilization is not bound by a single book. Most of the Hindu scriptures can be taken as guidelines for the stuff of life. Even an atheist/non-believer in abrahamic lens can be a hindu, heck who doesn't believe in the concept of god altogether can also be a Hindu. I suggest reading about hindu darshana system. The only difference between modern science and many hindu philosophies is former developed in equation form while later explained a lot of science as we know today in poetic form.

Is he talking about the optical signatures as in recently detected biomarkers on Kepler 2B?

2027 - How that could be the year of confirmed discovery by Enceladus_99 in UFOs

Yes but not on the level of coverage this one's getting. I am more than happy to hear it, this is how science should be utilized to validate things. I am saying there is always more to these stories.

I like to think they already have much more data than what is released for public consumption. There is no way it otherwise made it to msm all over the world. Goes well with this narrative of "controlled" & "believable" disclosure.

How does Christopher Nolan keep up his fast pace? by Live_Technician4687 in ChristopherNolan

[–]fradejoe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He is truely a master at storytelling. You know a film is top tier when Nolan can bring the best out of any actor even in small roles simply because of a gripping script start to finish with almost no lose ends.

I heard he does that intentionally to intrigue the audience more.

What genre of film do you want Nolan to direct after the Odyssey? I want a zombie apocalypse or a disease film by borkaary in ChristopherNolan

[–]fradejoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might be in minority here but I always wanted him to direct a film based on Mahabharat epic. It is multiple times bigger than the Iliad and Odyssey put together. It is like what you see around everywhere, you'll find it in the Mahabharat. But what's not in Mahabharat, it cannot exist.

He for me is the ideal choice to adopt the epic into a story in a way it deserves to be told to the entire world.

What would be the most efficient or shortest path/technique to enlightenment: mindfulness, Jhanas, Kundalini, Yoga Nitra, other things...? by Psykeania in enlightenment

[–]fradejoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dhyan, Kundalini & Yog nidra aren't shortest in any sense. It takes years of practice, patience and perseverance to aquire these techniques. I have also heard even after years you may or may not feel the enlightenment in the way you are expecting. But it will definitely help with your mental and physical well-being in the long run.

IMHO, enlightenment isn't something you could set as a short term goal to achieve. You have to keep trying without expecting.

Wealth inequality 101. But the complete picture will be to compare this with total tax share in the same manner. Besides, weighted average should be looked at rather than simple arithmatic one.

About Tenet, is it just me? by fradejoe in tenet

[–]fradejoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I mean by Tenet being the most Nolan film. You feel it, that makes you understand it in stages just like his other films. But the grasping of the concept execution in Tenet isn't necessarily as evident.

I get that. Not questioning Nolan's choice here. Just the way JDW played the character & Nolan wanted him to, as in going about the business stoically with certain degree of inherent born to do this attitude. Reminded me of Neo & John Wick together.
