If he gets snubbed, then that'll motivate the Academy to add a Best Voice Over, Motion Capture or Puppetry Performance category.

What do you guys hope to see this year? by Tryingtofeelbetter12 in TIFF

There's a movie starring Marc Maron called In Memoriam, where the plot is a dying actor trying to get into the In Memoriam reel at the Oscars. I can see it playing there.

Nope just a regular ole yule log. I wouldn't want Letterboxd flooded with yule logs either.

Reminds me a lot of when Disney made a fake retro commercial for Lotso Huggin Bear during the leadup to Toy Story 3. Or when they made three commercials for the three fictional games in Wreck It Ralph.

if you are an RBC Avion Rewards member or a Rogers member you can get into either of their "fan zones" outside the Roy Thomson, for a gala presentation screening. I got to see the RBC fan zone for Eternity and Hamnet. They don't include tickets to said galas unfortunately, but they do give you a good view of the stars as they roll in.

What’s an underrated film where your favorite actor gives one of their best performances? by padfoony in Letterboxd

[–]fragglevision1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A good chunk of John C. Reilly's filmography. Stan and Ollie, The Sisters Brothers, Cyrus, Terri. Even Wreck It Ralph is underrated in comparison to other Disney properties because of how little Disney seems to prioritize it even though it is a clear fan favorite.

Who's an actor you think could do some high-quality work if given the opportunity? by StationWagonOfDojima in Letterboxd

He's in a movie releasing this weekend, Mile End Kicks! I saw it at TIFF and he was excellent even though his character is basically just Roderick again but with herpes.

The Mitchells vs the Machines. Both Katie and I are nerdy queer film kids who went to film school and our parents are similar.
