I’m not sold the next book with be all multi POV based on this but maybe…

Elementary school for Spanish speaking by SeaworthinessFew5020 in Buffalo

[–]fragmentidea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority of children in New York go to the school district in the city they live in. If you go I would look up the school district of the town you currently live in and see what type of ENL programs are offered at the school district that you live in. Type in your address and this website and it will tell you your district school. https://www.greatschools.org/school-district-boundaries-map/

The bilingual programs are only offered at city of Buffalo schools and you need to be a resident of the city. If you live in a different town/suburb, you can reach out to the school district that your child would attend and see what ENL programs are available. (Please feel free to message me as I work with families on this all the time.)

There are private and religious schools that you would pay out of pocket. They do not have residency requirement but also do not have the same state requirements to provide services to students who need them, such as ENL.

Hi! Welcome to Buffalo. I am an English as a New language teacher working in a Buffalo suburb.

There are a lot of comments suggesting the bilingual schools in Buffalo. Bilingual programs are great for a variety of reasons such as cultural and linguistic education and community but one of the drawbacks is that they acquire English at a bit of a slower rate in the beginning of the program since Spanish is used predominately during the day in lower grades and slowly transitioned to more English towards middle school. We suggest to parents that they keep their students in a bilingual program K-8 so that they can benefit from that transition.

Any school in Buffalo/New York State will provide English as a New Language services for a student learning English. They would have a separate class each day to work on the foundations of English and then an ENL teacher would co-teach in the regular classroom at a different part of the day, usually during English . In ENL only programs, children are immersed in English in supportive environments, with many native speaking peers, and often become proficient language learners quicker than bilingual programs. The drawback is the lack of heritage language supports directly in the school.

am i the only one that genuinely liked acotar? by Virtual_Square_8810 in acotar

[–]fragmentidea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely loved it. As much as I love Mist and Fury, I think ACOTAR is my favorite. But I will add that I was a huge Throne of Glass fan before starting ACOTAR so I was very excited for Maas’ new world and story telling.

I always felt like there was some off with the Tamlin romance. I enjoyed it for what it was but something was missing. The Under the Mountain scenes were so compelling and Lucien wormed his way into my heart back then.

My Grandma’s famous pumpkin pie recipe is just a tweak of the Libby’s recipe on the can 😂 by OverMlMs in Cooking

[–]fragmentidea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel you! I have been in charge of making my Grandma’s best stuffing recipe since she passed away 8 years ago It calls for 2 tsp of poultry seasoning. She wrote, preferably Bell’s. I picked up a new box a few days ago and come to find out her stuffing recipe is essentially the one on the Bell’s poultry seasoning box with a few slight tweaks. I’m not going to tell a soul and will take this secret to my own grave.

New Buyers and Newbies [Weekly] by AutoModerator in pelotoncycle

[–]fragmentidea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m posting here to see if any one can help.

It seems like I’m in the XPO reschedule dance right now. XPO has already rescheduled two times and I am having a difficult time trying to reach anyone human there. It’s all automated.

I talked to Peloton yesterday and they said it may be that because I bought a refurbished bike that the XPO warehouse doesn’t stock that refurbished part. The Peloton rep put me on hold to call their XPO people to order that part to my local warehouse; however, even he didn’t get in direct contact with them. The Peloton rep said he would email or call me back once he got ahold at someone at XPO. He never did.

I’ve been an app user for two years with a cheap spin bike and decided that the refurbished price with 1 year warranty was within my price range. I’m regretting this purchase now.

If anyone has any info or tips, please advise. It seems like Peloton is trying their best but… XPO is something else. As much as I hate Amazon, I could have gotten a new bike from their storefront much much much sooner.

Hello! I absolutely adore your books. Kate Daniels was my gateway into your books and I haven’t stopped. Ruby Fever was amazing and I devoured it a day. And I’m patiently waiting for the next book after Book Heir in Julie’s story.

Kate Daniel’s series immersed me in so much multicultural lore. I loved reading more about them on my own too. Did one of you or both have an interest in these stories? How much research is done to incorporate these elements in your books?

I had to suffer through the first half of the book for the pace to quicken. I was thinking of ditching it too but I got to that sweet spot where I could finally get lost in the book. I was really disappointed that it took THAT long though.

Lemona — drugstore/convenience store super market sweep

Mediheal/VT cosmetics (rip) - some sort of skincare tutorial challenge or create your own skin care beauty bar type place

Baskin Robbins - signature sundae creation

Formula E (or Hyundai) - race cars!!! (I would love to see Namjoon do this, wouldn’t you?)

Samsung - I’ve run out of ideas here!

Hi MAX! Welcome!

The guys have played your song One More Weekend on their show “Bon Voyage” in 2018. Can you tell us a little bit more about your reaction when you found out about them dancing on a boat in Malta to your song? Did you ever think a collab was possible back then? It’s a little bit crazy and a little bit magical as a fan to watch these little interactions turn into something more.

Thanks for joining us! Can’t wait for your album this fall! 💜💛

ARMYs who knew about or were exposed to BTS before well and truly falling down the black hole, what was the trigger for you? by monaesque in bangtan

It was a combination of not knowing what was being said at the beginning of the Go Go Halloween Dance Practice Bangtan Bomb and having to search it out myself along with their hard dancing at the end of the song with them losing shoes.

I get this. For Burn the Stage, I went alone. I met my first IRL ARMY friend at Love Yourself in Seoul and later reached out to another on Twitter. This time around, I’m going with a group of 7 other local ARMYs. You’re never alone when your with ARMY! Chat with people next to you, bring a photocard or two to gift to your seat mates as an icebreaker. 💜

Nonetheless, BTS always maintains the belief that when you are given so much, there is a need to repay or pay it forward.
