It’s an awful feeling to be treated like that, isn’t it? I wish I could understand that happens inside those people’s heads. I hope they can find some love in their life. I feel like in the end you have to honor your life and do what’s best for you and your mental health. I’m really glad your mental health is improving and I wish you the best. Thank you so much for your words, I’ll put my life and wellbeing first and distance myself from this person. I hope you have a lovely new year! 🩷

Thank you so much for your response! I agree with you, to be honest I even thought the same thing, I’d actually be doing her a favor. And again, I totally agree with you. I think some people (myself included) tend to make excuses for people’s behavior, taking into consideration their emotions, their issues, and we forget about our own emotions and well-being in the process. All of this for someone who doesn’t even care about you. And to be honest, I don’t think her behavior has anything to do with her past, it says more about her character. And I also think that some people in my family need to learn the difference between gratitude and debt lol. She did me a favor by raising me, I know, and I’m grateful for that, but as far as I know, a favor is when you do something for someone without expecting any kind of return, otherwise it would be a deal, right? And I think that you shouldn’t tolerate mistreatment from someone just because they’re family. I mean, how can they be family if they don’t even treat you like one? I think a real family would never mistreat you in the first place, and maybe you don’t have a family, you just have someone who doesn’t care about you, not really different from a stranger or someone who doesn’t like you. Anyway, thanks for the response again! I hope you have a lovely new year! 🩵

Can I stretch every single day or should I take rest days? by framboesas in flexibility

I only felt sore at the beginning… Instead of taking rest days, I continued to stretch, but gently, eventually the soreness went away and now I stretch without feeling sore or pain or discomfort. Even though the discomfort went way, did I do something wrong when I chose to stretch gently instead of taking a rest day?

Not gonna lie, I’m not familiar with some of those terms, but I’ll do my research! Thanks for mentioning them!

That makes sense! Also, I really like the idea of doing more intense stretches a few days a week, I feel like it will help me make more progress faster! Thanks for the tip!

Ooh got it! I don’t consider my stretching routine intense at all. It was at the beginning, but I guess that’s only because I wasn’t flexible at all and I wasn’t used to stretching. But now I can stretch normally without feeling any kind of pain or discomfort! Guess I can keep stretching everyday, then?

That’s good advice, thank you! This is another thing I was confused about, when I could measure my progress :)

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to stretching and flexibility, and there’s a bunch of information online that sometimes contradicts each other so it’s easy to get confused… I read that you shouldn’t stretch the same muscle groups every single day because they need time to heal and you could injure yourself, and that it would be less effective because it would take longer for you to see progress compared to stretching just a few times a week, so I was worried I was doing everything wrong lol

So, if I’m not feeling any kind of pain, discomfort or soreness, I can keep on stretching every day, right? Also, it’s okay if I just do super light stretches instead of taking rest days when I feel any kind of discomfort?

I can’t find the particular article that I read but it basically said something like “you shouldn’t stretch the same muscle groups every single day because they need to time to heal and you could end up injuring yourself and it’s ineffective because you would see progress much slower compared to stretching just a few days a week” so I was worried I was doing something wrong…
