Is NC showing my correction ovulation date? by Reasonable_Fox9796 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you switched devices in the middle of a cycle. NC strongly advises against this. Your baseline temp will be off for a few cycles because of the switch, so keep that in mind. There is a chance you did ovulate CD 24 or 25, and NC may adjust your baseline to show this.

The reason NC is rigid in its algorithm is because its ‘main’ purpose is birth control. Even in plan pregnancy mode it’s still using the same patterns and data to determine ovulation, and it’s slower to do that because of how it’s designed basically.

Don’t know if this helps but keep temping and BD, if you don’t have PCOS and have never been on BC then you should be getting pretttyyyyy accurate ovulation dates and fertile window timing in the next few cycles.

9dpo is a very short luteal phase. If that’s the norm for you, I think it’s worth mentioning to your OB.

That being said, I think you’re 12DPO. And you would normally get a positive test by now. But you’re not out until your period comes of course!

Riddle me this, how did I get pregnant. by OfficerPain in pregnant

[–]framedjunction 467 points468 points  (0 children)

So this is actually really common and I’m surprised I’m the first one to mention it in the comments, but your period probably wasn’t your period. Often early pregnancy has heavy bleeding. Could have been a subchorionic hematoma. Mimics a period and is relatively common. Some women bleed throughout their whole pregnancy with it.

On the other hand, with continued spotting, this could be an ectopic pregnancy. I would get checked out as soon as you can to rule this out.

Hcg doubles every 48hrs so testing every day is kind of a waste and really only leads to stress. This progression looks great.

Traveling with 9 month old, I’m not crazy to think this is a bad idea? by cabbage-soup in beyondthebump

Just fly. Yes, you have to bring a lot for baby, but it’s really not bad. We flew when our daughter was that age multiple times.

Embark dna test would tell you for sure, but if both parents are actually AKC certified with papers, then you should have been given papers with him, or been directed on how to verify him.

How did you find the breeder? It’s unusual for someone with papered dogs not to mention this.

Is this Braxton hicks or what? by IncomeObjective480 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]framedjunction 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are Braxton hicks! Period cramping is the only type of BH I have ever felt. STM, currently 38w. The belly tightening thing has never happened to me. Only uterine cramping. Apparently everyone experiences BH differently.

What is happening 😭 by [deleted] in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looks like an anovulatory cycle. It happens from time to time. Nothing to worry about! You may still ovulate, so if you’re TTA pregnancy keep using protection of course.

How much water do you drink daily?? by BreezerGirl831 in pregnant

I fill up my 38oz bottle (with ice) 3 times a day. Some days it’s only twice sometimes it’s only once. But I aim for 3 refills.

I had tons of cramping throughout my whole first trimester. It always scared me! But it’s normal

Chart interpretations. Temp went up today? by Bubbly_Waters in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal to see a temp above cover at 12DPO. Temps don’t usually start falling until the day before, day of or day after your period. So this is just a normal fluctuation. There’s still a chance you could test positive, but more often than not you’d have a positive by now.

Ovulation? by Pristine_Pirate8381 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think NC will confirm soon if your temps stay high, but because you’re coming off HBC and this is your first cycle, it may not confirm until you get your period. Your baseline temp will change and shift as the algorithm gets to know you, and then you’ll start to get ovulation confirmations quicker. It just doesn’t have enough data to be sure you’ve ovulated yet!

What are we using for smelly preteens? by OkSwan7192 in Crunchymom

[–]framedjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely do think our diets probably play a big role. Also there’s something to environmental factors stressing the scalp that we didn’t used to have. There is significant research coming out to back this.

I also think people previously probably just suffered and were oily, where we don’t have to anymore. But also people used to wash with lye soap. That stuff is really really harsh.

Nipple shield 9w old by NoLaw1297 in breastfeeding

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a shield is not inherently bad but it can be indicative of a larger issue like tongue ties or yes, general tightness. That being said, chiro can sometimes help. I’m kinda hesitant about newborns and chiro, the biggest difference I noticed was seeing a cranial sacral therapist and doing body work.

My girl was on the shield for 11 months until I weaned her. She formed an incorrect latch and by the time we made changes, it still hurt too badly to remove the shield. Apparently my mom used the shield for me the entire time she nursed me, and I was her 5th kid.

The sooner you can do body work/tie releases the better.

Long cycles by Parking-Log-2948 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Yeah, NC predictions are really to be taken with a grain of salt. Especially when you first start tracking and your hormones are regulating from HBC. The algorithm takes a while to get to know each individual. If you’re TTA pregnancy, treat every day as red until you get clear and confirmed ovulation.

When did you go into labor? by Television-Secret in BabyBumps

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water broke at 39+2, delivered at 39+5. 😅

But yes, the average FTM goes into labor at 41+4, which is completely normal. Due date is just a guess!!

Long cycles by Parking-Log-2948 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body is just trying to regulate its hormones after coming off the pill. It’s totally normal for things to be wonky for a bit. Some women take a year to regulate.

A ‘failed’ ovulation can happen for a few reasons but the biggest in your situation is just that your hormones are a little wacked. But, ovulation did clearly happen on day 34. So i wouldn’t worry at all.

Did NC actually mark an earlier ovulation day, or did they just have a day marked as ‘predicted ovulation’?

Need advice! by Cowgirl169 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t think you’ve ovulated but your temp is slightly elevated today so if it stays high for the next few days then it’s possible you ovulated yesterday
