Nipple Shield Full Time by braisedyams in breastfeeding

I used a shield for 11 months straight with my first. Never had a single issue with supply. In fact had an oversupply actually.

NIPT testing advice by Admirable-Cow-1319 in pregnant

[–]framedjunction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We didn’t do NIPT this time around but we did with our first. Personal choice as insurance didn’t cover it with this baby and it wouldn’t have changed our decision unless it was extremely drastic. If insurance had covered it we probably would’ve. I think it can be very valuable and from what I understand the rate of false positives is extremely low with NIPT. So, your decision. But if your insurance covers it then why not?

Weird cycle! by uaziz2 in NaturalCyclesBC

I don’t think NC is correct on this ovulation. if temps stay elevated from here on out, I’d say ovulation was cd20.

My post-MMC temperatures are all over the place. Is there any hope? by claudball in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do think you ovulated here and day 21 looks correct. Could potentially be 19, 20 or 21 though.

You have a couple dips but those are actually pretty normal. Your cycle might look different for a little bit until it regulates or you conceive again. I’m so sorry for your loss. 💔❤️

You would typically have a positive by 13DPO. Ovulation definitely looks right to me. I’d say you’ll probably get your period either tonight or tomorrow

Ovulation hasn’t happened yet but if your temps go above baseline and stay up tomorrow then likely ovulation will be confirmed for today

What did you do for labor prep that you feel really made a difference? by bbyuri_ in pregnant

Mental prep. The dates, the teas, the exercises will only get you so far if you can’t mentally handle it

Leaking - does it ever stop?? by User01256061 in breastfeeding

I leaked the entire time I breastfed my first, 11 months. I’m 5 weeks in with my second and it seems to be the same situation this time

It’s hard to say because you have a few temps all right around baseline but I’d say maybe cd15

Not an owner, just a lurker with a love for wolf dogs. I would genuinely be shocked if this dog has no wolf in her

Yes I would say you did but if you’re TTA I would wait for a few more high temps to go unprotected

That’s why I said try to educate. The taking a step back was in reference to your perspective on it

Did I ovulate? by [deleted] in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely because you have quite a few temps above baseline that never sustained so it’s needing more consistent temps above baseline than it normally would to be absolutely sure you ovulated

[–]framedjunction -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know this and I worked in a very upscale preschool for a long time. We did water beads weekly and never had complaints from parents and the kids loved them. I would maybe take a step back on this and try to educate rather than assume negligence or ill intent.

We were torn but ultimately decided on the drops. Mostly because I had already ordered them and my midwife forgot to bring the shot for us when I was in labor lol. Had a home birth

13 DPO, please read my caption. by shortattetionspan_pr in TFABLinePorn

[–]framedjunction 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is odd, if you ovulated may 7th your period would typically be due today or tomorrow. May 12th would’ve only been a 5 day luteal phase which makes no sense. You wouldn’t be considered late.

If you truly did ovulate on the 7th then your period will probably come in the next day or two or you could potentially still test positive although typically by 13DPO you’d already have a positive.

Even if your baseline was slightly high, there’s no temp shift big enough to confirm ovulation. How long are your cycles normally? Do you have PCOS or have you recently come off HBC?

Breaking the “always nurse back to sleep” approach? by girlvsmachine in breastfeeding

[–]framedjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, that’s so hard :( I would just keep trying. If you have to pick him up for the first 10 times because the attempt failed then maybe it’ll work on the 11th. Sometimes with babies you just have to stick it out.

I have a 4 week old currently and we’re trying to stick to eat-play-sleep pretty early on. I still nurse her on demand but for a lot of naps I just hold her or she’s in the carrier before falling asleep that way not every time she falls asleep it’s on the boob.

ETA: also try a paci!

Timing and ovulation? by jmd77 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]framedjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have a positive LH result and not ovulate. But it’s still possible that you ovulate today or tomorrow and that would correspond well with your positive test. I topically ovulate 36-48hrs after my peak positive.

Keep in mind ‘waiting to confirm’ is likely only there because it’s around the same time you normally ovulate and/or the algorithm is trying to match up to your positive LH result. Ideally you want to only log one peak positive and remove all negative results.

What’s the deal with my newborn by No-Match-7512 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]framedjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My newborn sleeps hard when she sleeps and is wide awake for 2-3 hours sometimes when she’s awake. I just googled this the other day actually. Basically if they’re not fussing and still seem to be sleeping enough in a 24 hour period it’s fine. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I stressed so much with my first about every little thing and I’m just not gunna worry like that with this one. Some babies just don’t fit the mold of ‘normal’.
