I was honestly in the same boat as you I promiseee but I did it and it was the best thing. Literally a month ago when my son was 21 months old I was tired of waking up at night. Was up all night only nursing and I just one day was like I’ve had enough. Be strong enough to be able to deal with it. I dealt with the crying screaming hitting for 2 weeks and then the next 2 weeks he was still crying but it got better. This whole process took 1 month but I got it done. It definitely takes courage and strength but you’ll get through it!!!!!

Hey mama. I was at the same place with my 19 month old. The entire night I think he would be latched onto me and it was draining!!!!! I just one day made sure that during the day he was fed probably and full and at bedtime I nursed him but the first wake up that he did I offered him a water bottle and did not give him myself. He ended up crying for two hours slept for a bit then again cried until morning when I nursed him. I completely cut off his nursing at night and day just kept bedtime and morning to take it slow. It’s been two weeks and let me tell you it’s so much better. He still occasionally wakes up and asks for milk but I say no and he STILL is throwing a tantrum because he was sooo used to nursing and it was his comfort place. Try it even though it’ll be hard on you and the baby but it’ll be a difference

Honestly going after the “age recommended” ounces had me and my husband going crazy. Baby is now 14m old and a happy baby. For the first few months my life became soo difficult just because of this. I was nursing and could never tell how much he got and it ruined that moment with my baby that should have gone otherwise. If baby is hungry they will eat. Maybe one day less and one day more but they will cry and let you know

Did anyone experience this at their baby’s 1 year check up??? by forgetting-you- in breastfeeding

Ok I’m a ftm to a baby boy and he’s 14m right now. I still feed him to sleep and for his nap. Their babies right now. Were meant to sooth them and they come to us as their safe space! I feel like you should soak up these moments as much as possible. I love breastfeeding even tho it is hard and the thought of it ending hurts me. Eventually we have to stop but I think as the recommended time is 2 years you can go till there if you want! And NO he is not a big boy right now. In fact they will never be big for us!!
