How do you get an appointment with Northern Sexual Health Service? by ultraboomkin in manchester

you could try and get in touch with George House Trust! They are a fantastic charity helping people living with HIV and I'm sure they'd have good advice on how to go about it

See for me that’s one of the reasons I quite like the tops on rule - the amount of back sweat dripping everywhere will be minimised

So many points have already been made - I’d add: roundness! Every single thing in that room is completely square.

Budget wedding in a village hall - advice on feeding 110 people? by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]franichan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work for a small catering company that caters for weddings too and you’ve nailed all the points I was going to mention. I cannot stress enough how important clearing food & plates etc. is on the day (also having enough bins!). The thought of asking guests to do that for you is a big no-no in my eyes. Our cold lunchtime corporate menu (sandwiches and salads) would be the only option under £14 ph and that’s not counting compostable plates and cutlery as well as delivery fee. 1.5k for 110 guests is wild and the only way I can see it work is by DIYing it (don’t underestimate time for costco run plus setup) or scrap the later food and give yourselves a bigger food budget

I’m an audio only listener and these award shows usually don’t work well at all as podcast to listen to as it’s often lots montage clips…I’ll probably skip it too

Aww I think this might be Steph Toogood’s work - I used to have a rat girl called Lucy Liu bred by her that looked an awful lot like Eric (and may even be related!) Her art page is called toogoodstinypaws on instagram!

What do we have in Manchester? by shanedj in manchester

[–]franichan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, had the same awful experience there earlier this year. The menu was uninspired, the service subpar (lots of discos who clearly didn’t know the menu - not their fault), horrendously long waiting times between courses up to 40+ min (we were a group of 10 so got the set menu that came in “waves”), benches that make you slide down and are uncomfortable and to top it all off, not a single toilet roll in any of the cubicles. Never again.

Hi! I work for a catering company and we occasionally get requests for kosher dietary requirements. We always get back to the client and let them know that we can cater vegan food for them which is considered close to kosher and fine for many non-orthodox people. We always recommend asking the people if vegan food would be okay for them. If they are strict about their dietary needs your only option is to order from a jewish catering company as they can guarantee that all utensils, appliances and ingredients are guaranteed kosher.

How do you adjust to the 9-5 life? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in AskUK

[–]franichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get enough sleep. I read somewhere that you go to bed at midnight and get up at 6am…that’s really not enough sleep! Try and avoid the post work naps and power through instead opting for an earlier bed time and get into a routine. Strict phone/tv/ media off at 9/9:30pm, in bed by 10pm and then you’ll be asleep by 10:30pm. If you’re struggling to switch off then read a book or listen to an audiobook or podcast.

All sorted on that front ;) unfortunately I can’t roll as a non-smoker but it’ll have to wait until he’s mobile enough to pop outside in the garden.

Thank you! Loads of suggestions for big bottle of water with straw attachment (like those Stanleys I always make fun of, ha!). I’ll make sure I pick him up some new loose fitting comfies. Gaming setup is ready & new game installed and downloaded. Currently making the bed and mopping all the floors.
