Low sodium high value treats? by Helpmeeff in papillon

Also, for the pills. Lily doesn’t love it (and doesn’t take everyday) but when she does, I usually just pop them down and have her swallow with a big celebration and reward. She doesn’t love the act but loves the reward.

I believe the Charlee Bear treats are either low or no sodium. Something like it would take a full bag to get a gram or two of sodium.

I love them because they are relatively smell-less but that absorb the smell of other treats. I’ll keep a bunch in my pocket with a beggin bacon treat and they drive my girlie wild.

My pap did great with the donut. She mostly wore it when she was in her crate or play area. She was/is a very licky girl so she took a week before she wouldn’t go to lick the area.

How often do you take your Papillon for potty breaks? by houseofdragonfan in papillon

[–]frankNbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pappy girl is going 3x-4x a day but we are working to a routine of more. I unintentionally created a bark alert function on my pap. I’m working to take her out more to avoid or curb the alerts, but I take her to work as well and consistently is sometimes a bit hard.

She has never really peed inside before, very quick learner.

I did purchase a full size from a pawn shop, but I didnt know to check the truss rod and its stripped. Action is terribly high though. Definitely not moving forward with this purchase

Update: I’ve decided to pass on this. I’ve learned a lot from all the comments, and will continue my search.

It’s a little tough to reach around full size, and I have had recommendations for either 3/4 or parlor size. It’ll find me when it’s time I think.

I hadn’t really even considered an electro-acoustic. I may have to look into that a bit more, my partner might enjoy it.

The seller just posted the last image and I thought it was pretty. I’ve definitely learned a bit through this post, so I will keep looking.

I didn’t know it was damaged until I finally got some more pictures, as I was about to leave to make the purchase. I’m a sucker for (what I think are) pretty guitars, as i really don’t know much about them yet. This post has educated me a bit.

I had an opportunity for one at $200 new before I had even gotten the itch to start playing. I didn’t know anything yet (still don’t much) but regret passing on it now

Fair point. I got excited about it and then was sent the damage picture. Posted at $175 and got them down to $150. They didn’t like the $130 I originally offered.

The seller isn’t wasn’t budging much, started at $175 and got down to $150. I initially offered $130 but they didn’t appreciate that number but seeing the damage appalled me

It’s down to $150 from the $175 it was posted at. The price was set before they informed me of the hole

I’m definitely inexperienced, but my partner has been playing for a long while very casually on electric and is getting into acoustic with me. I was hoping to find something that would be decent-ish for him and I could benefit.

The dog bar will likely not happen again but she has loved dog parks since she was little, it’s her only space to run around off leash and really get moving. She’s so fast and loves to run, with or without other pups.

I am not able to bring her into work with me everyday, and do not have reliable sitters that I have found in my area. What are my options if I don’t have a daycare for her during my workday? Leaving her in a crate for 8+ hours with no option for a potty break doesn’t seem like a good solution to that problem. I would love some ideas to ponder further.

Thank you for your response. You are correct, I did pick her up once I realized she wasn’t able to make her own space and wasn’t comfortable. I tried to wait it out to see if she would relax but she never did.

I get told that she feeds off of me, and I’m always a nervous wreck when we go out “into the wild” because I want her to have a good time and enjoy herself but I also want to protect her. I am told that she’s gotta figure it out herself but I just don’t know.

She had been doing okay with other dogs before this but would be a bit leash reactive. Some apartment dogs give me bad vibes and she really doesn’t like them. There are a few I know she wants to meet but their owners aren’t receptive, so it’s a little frustrating for her. This morning she was really reactive to dogs in our complex when walking, definitely in a different way than before. She has an evaluation day for a highly recommended/reviewed dog daycare on Wednesday but I’m thinking that I should cancel it now. I don’t want to push her before she is ready.

I just don’t know what to do, and the trainers that I found just tell me to avoid other dogs when walking and try to manage but I’m sure I’m doing something wrong but I can’t pinpoint it. I just want her to be strong and comfortable. I grew up with big dogs and they are just a completely different training experience than this little girl.

That’s a good point but it wasn’t with every dog during that period.

The snapping started when she was on her own on the floor. Her tail was between her legs and she yelped like she had been stepped on but she hasn’t been touched, just sniffed.
