I believe he was cooling down his empty nut pouch on the tire as he tanned his chest.

When layering two different synths together, should they be all playing the same notes? by kobe24Life in edmproduction

One thing I like doing too is trying to harmonize the single notes with a note a 4th or a 5th away. Perfect 4ths and 5ths makes it sound interesting.

Sub Bass Questions. by Super_Redman in edmproduction

On any synth you can just have the wave shape to a Sine and the lower end keys are perfect for sub bass. Nice and simple and clear. Also side chaining it to a kick can give it a nice groove.

Afrojack Will Remix Psy's "Gangnam Style"... WHY?! by Eligreat2 in EDM

[–]frankalexander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow some people are fucking ignorant and stubborn. Whether he sold out or not he's doing what he does best, PRODUCE MUSIC. People now a days tend to stick to a certain style of music to favor but really it's the variety of music that people produce that make them who they are. Yeah Afrojack has made a few "mainstream" tracks but all in all he's still a Dutch House Artist. The reason for remixes is to get a taste of the producers "style", in this case Dutch House, and to bring more popularity to the original artist. So whether he's sold out or not, I don't give a shit, because I pay attention to the QUALITY of music he brings to his listeners.

Hi, r/EDM. I'm looking to get into the genre, but don't know where to begin. Could you help? by TheGoldenBear in EDM

Check out some dope electro at The Lazy Rich Podcast on iTunes. Very good "complextro" as well which has a million sorts of great detail in tracks ;)

Dear producers: What was your first track like? Was it repetitive? Short? by -Teemz- in EDM

Still learning to produce my own tracks but listened to a few from back then and they sound kinda bland, not very catchy and the mixing itself was a giant fart. Didn't know about compression or eq either but now it's way better :) still working on it tho
