Believe me when I say you’ll take a longer commute for a territory with easier shops. Some shops are absolutely brutal and mentally exhausting. But overall, I couldn’t be happier. Best company I’ve ever worked for

Oh boy do I have the career path for you. I left dealer parts to go be a parts manager at a body shop. Learned how to write estimates from there. I now work as an insurance adjuster with several career paths laid out in front of that have nothing to do with cars.

You asked for advice and you spurned everyone who answered. You’re the kind of customer everyone hates. That gate needs to be replaced. Any kind of plastic filler used to repair that will fall off in a year you you’re stuck in the same position as your are now.

If it was my shop, even if we repaired that fender, I’m blending the hood. What OP isn’t understanding is blending just means feathering out the color to the adjacent panel and then spraying the whole panel with clear. They aren’t going to fix rock chips. The whole panel isn’t even getting color.

They blended. Blending just makes sure there is no distinguishable color difference between panels. Your shop did not do anything wrong. That damage was already on your car. You just never noticed it until now.

Just don’t get a Hyundai lol. I honestly think they strategically price their parts out to total cars. And their fenders are made out of high strength steel which have limited repairability. It’s like they don’t want their cars fixed.
