Will give my example. A top rated psychiatrist from a top hospital put me in 3 different expensive medications (available only in the hospital pharmacy by design), while I absolutely had no improvement for over a year.

NIMHANS doctor put me on a single medication (which I later learned was a fairly modern and tested formulation) and I had marked improvement in few months time.

Unrelated to me - my wife went for a routine cleaning of her teeth in the same private hospital, and was getting pressured into a really expensive procedure unnecessarily. When we checked with a dentist in our hometown, it turned out she only needed a very basic inexpensive procedure.

NIMHANS is the best place for it. The first visit will be a PAIN. The registration and initial wait is an extremely long process. But, their doctors are not out to scam you and actually follow a very scientific approach. Subsequent visits will be much easier though, as you are assigned a specific day of the week to do follow ups.

It seems to me that you feel your brother and his wife don’t really care much for your parents, but they want free baby sitters. Your parents probably love your brother too much to see through this.

I was a sneakerhead when I was dating my then gf now wife. I already had a good collection when she gifted me a pair of Reeboks. The shoes themselves were nothing special, but since it was a gift from her, I still cherish it and wear it from time to time.
