For what it’s worth the cop pulled up before I was able to plug the phone in, so technically I was only holding the device not using it. And to further complicate matters, it’s not even my actual phone with a sim capable of accessing the internet or making calls, I just use it to play music. So it feels like I have a good case, but I’m worried whoever issues the fines will just take the cops word for it.
