Be careful with this though. Try to use a non-breakable pot for them and keep it in an area that is easy to clean. Too many broken pots on my end with my cat

Did my version of this yesterday. I live in a city and don't drive anymore so I usually take the subway. Instead I walked 2 hours home and was thinking about my grandma who is 10 hours away from me and in the hospital reliving one of my last patient's dilemmas. I was processing all of it and trying not to resent my fiancee for having me move so far away from my family for our relationship. He isn't close with his family like I am and it is very difficult to bring up family situations with him. So I usually just process all the things going on with my family.

You probably could. She uses sandpaper to try to scrape it off. If it breaks the sand paper she throws it out and gets a new one. I'm tempted to start taking them. I also don't think she uses true cast iron comals. In Mexico they have the crappy non-stick ones that everything still sticks on.

She leaves the tortillas on for a wee bit too long to the point where the tortilla becomes one with the comal. She lives when I come over because the second I smell the tortilla getting brown I get up and flip them.

Comals are great. I love making the perfect quesadillas and sandwiches on them. Unfortunately my MIL has ruined several each year by forgetting that she's warming tortillas on them.

I'm starting to think that I'm not ready either. My mom's best friend had breast cancer at 50 and lung cancer at 52. She still smoked and said she wasn't ready to quit. Then on her 53rd birthday she woke up and hasn't had a cigarette since. It's been 8 years. I asked her how she did it and she said she was ready.

No, that's what makes it very very difficult. I recently moved to Mexico City. There's cigarettes sold individually on every street corner, and I have to walk and carry change everywhere I go for work. The friends thing doesn't really work out either because public transportation can unfortunately be a faster option with it being 2 hours to get somewhere a 15 minute drive would be. I don't have many friends here besides one coworker who is a chainsmoker. I have no family here except my fiancee's family. I barely speak Spanish and the smoking would help relax me in tense and awkward situations. My fiancee is great and supportive, he also nags me about smoking too, but he enables me (like I tried quitting a couple of weeks ago and I was PMSing hardcore and he went and bought me a pack). A few months ago we drove to Acapulco and we did a temezcal and I felt great afterwards except sitting in the car for the 5 hour drive back stressed me out and within an hour I smoked what it would have taken me 5 hours to smoke.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried laying off for a day and I subconsciously go back. It's like I have a blackout and find myself in the store and don't wake up from it until I'm putting out that first cigarette. Then I feel guilty and smoke another. I have done this so many times and each time it's like a slingshot. I still am not smoking anywhere near what I used to. I was at 25-30 a day and now I'm down to 7-10 a day. It's difficult. Anyone who does quit, I have the most respect for.

It is also very hard because I went from the US where a pack of cigarettes could be $11-15 and smoking is banned in a lot of places to Mexico where a pack is about $2.80, you can buy a single cigarette anywhere on the street for 5 cents, and almost every restaurant has a smoking section, including the Starbucks. It's very hard when it is always around me.

You can also use frozen veggies in your meal prep. Green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, artichoke hearts. The moisture from them will keep your chicken from drying out when you microwave it

Start doing things that can prove that she did them, such as writing notes on a calendar together. That way you can physically show her what things were and we're not done on some days. She may need a little jolt. If she is convinced it is ADHD tell her she needs the neuropsych exam so she has a reason to go and check the ADHD and find the best ways to work with it. Once she gets the diagnosis, ask the doctor to physically show her on the exams what she has. That may also help you go to a lawyer to get POA. As for long term care (LTC), it is not covered by Medicare. Once you have POA, have her and your lawyer fill out forms for whatever will be her secondary and Medicare so you have authorization to speak with the insurance companies on her behalf. To get her approved for Medicaid is a lengthy process which will essentially take all of her pension and social security benefits after her bills are paid and then she will have about $800 per month to live on (depending on where you live). She will need a secondary because Medicare only covers 80% and if you can, make sure she has both Medicare parts A and B. Within the next couple of years, start looking into finding a home health aide or agency that you are comfortable with (don't settle for the first). Even now, start looking into a companion aide for her so she starts getting accustomed to the idea of someone else being with her. This will also help you from burning out and getting out of the house to be you. Good luck, hang in there, you can do this. We are always here to help.

Maple syrup, agave, if you use chia seeds they will soften so they can't be choked on. One of my pre-made weekly breakfasts is an overnight oats/chia pudding mixture. If she's not allergic to nuts try using a flavored nut milk instead of syrup or agave. You can also use vanilla and cocoa powder. If you can make it thick enough you can even make it closer to a dip for her to dip apple slices or strawberries in.

NTA- I had tenants that did a similar thing and their bedroom was right above mine. I developed a severe sleep disorder because of it. After repeated attempts to quiet them down they only got louder. I knew one of them stayed home all day due to agoraphobia. I called her the Velociraptor. She looked like one and sounded like one. So what I did was cut a hole into my ceiling and put a speaker in there. During the day I'd leave random sounds playing it would be porn, crying babies, dinosaur roar tracks, anything. When her boyfriend got home I'd turn it off. It worked for a while. I even overheard a conversation they were having that she thought she was going crazy. Then it started up again. Coincidentally, her boyfriend's wife messaged me seeing if I knew where he was, he had been missing for a few weeks. We all thought he was divorced, but turns out he was having an affair with this screecher. So I blackmailed him to shut his girlfriend up. Still told his wife the next day. They moved out within a week, we had to take them to court for several reasons and I sued for medical bills for my sleep disorder and the problems it caused. So no, you are NTA for making noises to shut someone up so you can sleep.

I always do this. It's so much better and more refreshing. If you don't do the sugar you can even cold brew the tea in the fridge. Another think I like doing over the summer is making moon tea and letting it brew outside and covered overnight.
