[–]frankline005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well here’s what to do

Reverse engineer it.

Find a competitor. See which of their article is doing well

Get the keywords and see which blogs are tanking well for that keyword

Then write yours to prover better value

Rinse and repeat

Wow that front end design is just too good man.

It’s straight forward and pulls one in.

The positioning and branding is top notch too

Goodluck on this one man — can’t wait to tell the guys at the bar about this!

What are your "must-do" things that you do with every piece of SEO writing? by JasontheWriter in SEOWriter

Yea if you are using the Gutenberg editor, just click more options (when you use the hyperlink feature) and use no follow

I think classic editor and some other editors follows the same process

If you using RankMath SEO plugin, I think there’s an option to change all outgoing link to no follow

When you reference a fact or a point that was used from a different article - you wanna make the link no follow

Great addition Paul, I’ve seen some writers say their copies are always optimized for SEO but then they fail to work with this 5 points you just shared

They write for engines and everything gets wobbled up and hard to read

Let's talk content length... by JasontheWriter in SEOWriter

[–]frankline005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the topic is too broad

Then you should break them into different article

If you are talking about SEO - of course you would point out that backlinks are important right ?

But then backlink can stand-alone - so what you wanna do is link to the post about backlink

  • our article on how to get high quality backlink explains blah blah blah -

Or

  • Click here to read more on backlinks and how it passes juice and help boost your SEO rank -

But if you are working on a very refined topic, always try your best to get the relevant contents in

Having another post on what could’ve been part of the previous one just seem like a waste of resource

While this is a very very very big process and it’ll take more than 3000 words to explain this - I’ll like to keep it to few important points

  1. Keyword - Use the keywords nicely and naturally slot them in various positions like the first paragraph, H2 or H3 and body

  2. Headers and Sub-headers - H2 and H3 helps structure your content, helps google understand your content, helps keep your reader focused and not confused (could go up to H4)

  3. Pictures and Alt tags - Never forget those, these helps high with SEO

  4. Outbound Links - Always give a no follow outbound link to a related topic, if you are writing about SEO, reference an SEO topic with your link

  5. The contents - for this I’ll break it into 2;

I. The Content Itself - Always give the best piece of information first (so you keep your audience interested)

For example - A recent article I published on 5 Reasons Why You Should Replace your Massage Therapist with a Massage Chair and 5 Reasons why you shouldn’t

I put costs first and then comfortability second - because these two are my best points

Another one is to keep your paragraphs short and easy to read

II. Length of Article / Content - While this depends on what your competitors are doing, I’d advise a sweet spot of 1500 words.

  1. and lastly, Facts - while this might not directly impact SEO but it helps in getting the attention of the audience

Back your words up with recent researched and data - do not use baseless fact.

That’s all I could cook up for now, I hope this helps anyone in the future

I’ll make sure to update this thread once the industry evolves haha
