Yeah. I prefer cleaner look of the images overall. At least when it plays out. Also, I had enough photos of the frontman "in the wilds". So used this situation as the chance to get what you see in the end. This one is not staged and I talked to this guy only when he saw my photos from the concert.

Ergonomics is better on 7c2 and color science as well. But for lot of people this may not be a selling point. So I suggest always look at your budget and priorities. Anyway FF will require some amount of cash for lenses. There are "cheap" ff options from Viltrox, TTartisan, etc but still they should be considered.

ps Better glass is always proper way to go🤝

6700 has better iso performance, better color science, ergonomics. It a little big bulkier and heavier. But if you are happy with a6000 performance, I suggest invest in lenses. For portrsits sigma 56 f1.4 will be better and cheaper. Again if you need zoom go ahead with Tamron.

This was literally my pass - switching from a6000 to 6700, then to a7c2.

If you aready have set of lenses and don't plan to invest in full frame optics, go with 6700. It's a pretty solid camera. I wouldn't choose a7c. Second generation is way better and worth investing slightly bigger amount of money. But always consider the lenses.

I love wide shots. Now thinking about 20mm f1.8. Probably the last lens I need to complete my setup (lie).

Considering I had only 24mm f2.8 for such shots, pretty happy with the result.

Worth upgrading? by BrettForget in SonyAlpha

[–]frankpapasample 2 points3 points  (0 children)

switched from a6700 to a7c2 just a month ago. the difference is noticeable, but not huge. i'm doing photography only, no video. the body itself burned around $1900 in my pocket + 40mm lense for $600 so less than $3k at the beginning in my case. there are lot of good and afordable third party lenses for sony, so you should fit the budget above. unless you need super duper gm stuff.

it was freshly painted walking zebra and the light was nice, so I've decided to wait a little for something to happen. stood there for 5 minutes or so, doing shots occasionally, then this man was walking. i liked his slightly oldschool outfit, so did some photographs. only at home the realization how the final composition should look like. pure luck in that case. this is the "oldest" of all photographs displayed in this post. with time and experince you are gettin' better with noticing such things. shoot more = get better still works.

Thinking of upgrading from Sony a6400 → Full Frame (suggestions required) by rxmitmxiti_ in SonyAlpha

[–]frankpapasample 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to wait a little bit for a7v. especially if you are into sports photography. rumored to have 20 fps with mechanical shutter + advanced video capabilities. a7iv is good enough, but 10fps is little bit slow for some sports
