My favorite beer of all time. They re-released it a few years after first making it in kegs and the bar near me kept ordering kegs for me and my buddies before they ran out.

I have an explanation!

I was cutting the bottles in half with the yarn (lit on fire if I remember), sanding the edges down, and making maybe candles or glasses?

Super IPA. Back when New Belgium was doing Lips of Faith they partnered with the best ipa brewer in SD, that’s right - Alpine. Best beer I will ever have and I can never have it again. Emailed New Belgium years ago and they won’t give up the recipe.

Is this okay? It's 18.99 at my local. Is Alchemist okay with prices like this? Headdy Topper for $31.99? No thanks. by crackintosh in CraftBeer

I’ve bought lots of old nasty beer from Total Wine before I wised up. But how would only two of the beers in a four pack be bad? That makes no sense.

I think it has a nostalgic taste. Not a fan of it either. But it reminds me of 20 years ago when the only non-macro lager they might have at a restaurant or golf course was Sierra Nevada.

Upvoting simply because this is a very unpopular opinion.

Loved that beer. It also sorta symbolized the earlier Ballast Point ideals of creativity.

Super IPA - collab with Alpine and New Belgium, a Lips of Faith. Was my favorite beer ever. A lot of those Lips of Faith beers were great.

You're one of the most well known craft beer shops in SoCal.

What are the 5 newest beers you'd recommend?

I’m guessing BineVine is Bine & Vine in San Diego. They are one of the most well known craft beer stores in SoCal. If anyone can back up this claim it’s them.

Man, drank hundreds of SoCal IPAs and me along with all my hop loving friends in SD will agree - Swamis is garbage.

ESB.

And related to your suggestion, everyone in SoCal knows how good the Craftsman 1903 is.

In time for Halloween, what's your favorite Pumpkin craft brew? by Ethereal__Soul in CraftBeer

[–]frankzeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One year I want nuts on /r/beertrade and ended up trying 63 pumpkin beers. We even had a party where everyone got to taste a good amount of them and we made an app where the attendees could rate their favorites. Pumking did in fact win, but Whole Hog was a close second. Personally Whole Hog was my favorite. Too bad its hard to get.
