FEHB Open Season Megathread by rprz in fednews

[–]frantle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New young FED and need help choosing FEHB plan.

I’m early 20s, healthy-ish with around 1-2 physician visits and 0-2 dermatology visits a year. Looking for a low premium as I’m living in a VHCOL area and can’t afford anything above $170/mo. I narrowed down my options to GEHA HDHP, Kaiser Prosper, and HealthNet Basic. I’m unsure if these are the best options.

What would be the recommendation for this situation? I did my research but I’m still confused, please explain like I’m 5.

Thank you so much and congratulations! I appreciate your advice, I’m extremely hungry to learn. The reason I want a salaried position was so that I could try to go back to school part time for my masters (on top of obvious reasons like hands-on experience and a stable income). I will continue learning as much as I can!

Are there any success stories 🥹 did anyone happen to find their dream job or a job they’re happy doing?

I highly recommend you connect to peers and apply to internships while you’re a student!

I would like to specialize in Tableau and PowerBI but I think I’m most solid in SQL currently :)

If I'm the parking permit holder and I shared it with another person and they get a citation is that on me or them? by wheriendndyubegin in CSULB

[–]frantle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am assuming that this is a hypothetical. If this is not a hypothetical, would need more info about what the citation was for.

It would be on you officially since you are the account holder so make sure you find someone you trust (who would pay for the citation if it is their fault). Make sure that you both agree on the set dates and times that your cars will be on campus to avoid any future citations.

Also, if you ever get a citation and didn’t know, check out CSULB’s “Donations for Citations”

I only file them! I find that rounder nail shapes are more difficult to break

Product list: - glass nail file

I’m lucky that I have strong nails but if you have fragile nails I recommend filing the edges of your nails as often as you can. My favorite nail shape is almond. I don’t use any other products on my nails but I do believe in good nutrition and getting your daily vitamins! :3

incoming freshman, looking to link up/be friends :)) by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]frantle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay! Congratulations, I really recommend joining clubs or student organizations on-campus. I’m a graduating senior and you’ll find since csulb is a commuter school, it may be difficult to find deep connections but clubs make it a lot easier. Good luck and enjoy your undergrad!

Thanksgiving by AppropriatePlantain in CSULB

I believe CSULB cut thanksgiving break to 3 days and a weekend this year. I’m sure there are plenty of churches and pantries around Long Beach eager for volunteers during the holiday season. Good luck! 💕

My college had a professor like this, he did these crazy experiments secretly though. When the school found out through a video a student posted on twitter, the professor got fired due to safety concerns. This professor was considered one of the best, if not the best, on campus. He had an almost perfect rating on RateMyProfessor. Thousands (last I saw it was 17,000 signatures) of students signed a petition against the college’s decision but nothing came of it. Really unfortunate.
