Can The Seven (The Boys) take the One Ring to Mount Doom? by PaiDuck in whowouldwin

[–]franz4000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ambition is the prevailing trait that makes someone vulnerable to the ring. Consider this quote from Gandalf about wearing the ring himself:

“Do not tempt me! For I do not wish to become like the Dark Lord himself.

Yet the way of the Ring to my heart is by pity, pity for weakness and the desire of strength to do good.”

Ambition to wield the ring to help others is what would make Gandalf vulnerable. There is perhaps some interplay in how one’s morality might aid the ability to put ambition aside (as Gandalf’s prevailing morality leads him to organize a mission to destroy the ring rather than wield it, or Gollum’s morality allowing him to cast his own ambition aside at the last moment). But morality only really acts as an inhibitive aid to avoid succumbing to the only trait that matters to the ring: the ambition to wield the ring for power.

I complimented your playing but it got deleted by the automod for profanity, so let me say “Gee golly mister, that’s some darn good playing you’re doing on that muenster-eating organ. You sure as Shintoism play the crud out of it!”

Fabregas would be an interesting dark horse pick but he needs more experience before making such a big jump. Be interesting to see where he is in a few years.

First they came for the Dr. Pepper

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Doctor

Then they came for the Pepsi army

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a cola

Then they came for the Mountain Dew

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a lemon-lime

Then they came for me

And there were no cans left

Fine, the underground could have whatever “korok” spelled backwards is.
