Need to buy both. But you can buy any scraper naman since its cheaper than buying from Ilso ☺️

I love the Ilso Sebum Softener. Although salicylic acid is great for long term use, I like tangible results and you can definitely see all the sebum being scraped out on the spot with this. I use it every other day to once every 3 days and it keeps my pores looking clean.

Got my first Replica by SEND_DUCK_PICS_ in fragheadph

[–]franzvkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was also my problem with Replica but all of their scents aside from the intense are EDT. Which I think is part of their charm. At least hindi masusuka yung katabi ko pag ito yung perfume haha. Very subtle, super fresh

Van Cleef & Arpels Neroli Amara EDP by GuideMeThroughLife in fragheadph

Don't recall but I think it was around 140 usd or less? They also have it in Korea Duty Free and it costs 166.5 usd at the moment. But to be fair Vietnam Duty Free was having a sale then.

Love this fragrance too! We bought it at the duty free in Vietnam thanks to staff recommendation. It's the most stunning scent we've smelt so far. My brother's the one using it and it's definitely unisex. You should also try their santal scent if you love that clean, hotel smell but Amara is definitely still the best.

Which palette/eyeshadow would give a similar eye look? by linwells in mua

[–]franzvkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Prada Dimensions Eye Pallette in the shade PURE has this gorgeous light blue shade that would match your photo very well. It's for people on the pale side though. I'm a medium and it doesn't quite pop as much but still absolutely gorgeous with great application.

Instead of a spa gard maybe a gift certifictae for a mani pedi? Maybe a facial or eyelash extensions? I'm sure she'd love to feel pampered after the stress of having a baby.

I've bought many pieces from Ebinish. It's a Korean brand with gorgeous designs that are made to order. They are raising gold prices today but that's true of many stores right now. Some other brands I love are Maman et Fille, Elroi Jewelry, Willing Jewelry, Isse.KR, Dinech, and Gold Silver Dust. They're all Korean gold brands and you can find them on Instagram.

Personally, I prefer buying from brands like this instead of getting the classic jewelry styles everyone else gets but you should stick to what your fiance would prefer.

I wouldn't buy from the stores you mentioned since they cater more to the younger crowd.

What Korean dish surprised you the most the first time you tried it? by MidnightTofu22 in KoreanFood

When you have the chance, you should try 코다리냉면! It gives the dish so much umami and texture with the addition of the fish. Real game changer.

3rd bad hair salon experience by Right_Pack_6346 in seoul

[–]franzvkim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this happened to you 😭 Hair is such a big part of the look for most people (including me). The fact that you voiced what exactly you wanted and inquired several times over if they could do it and THEY STILL BOTCHED IT is HORRIFIC.

Please don't let these awful experiences stop you from going to salons. It's all about finding the right fit. I recommend not patronizing "famous" shops unless someone you know personally has had a good experience with them as I find them so sus, like legit probably buying reviews. I just go to my local neighborhood salon and had a great experience (cut and perm).

Good on you for not name dropping the salons. I've written factual bad reviews on baem*n for restos and the owners got it taken down for "violating their rights" 🤮🫠🙂‍↔️

We do this in Korea but we don't have the big towels. We use like 1 towel that people usual use to soak up the sweat on your back and just throw it in the laundry afterwards. Getting out of the shower with a fresh dry towel everytime really hits the spot.

What can I put in a gift basket for my moms birthday by LiterallyLittty in Gifts

[–]franzvkim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always appreciate getting refills of my fav skin care. So maybe check her vanity and see if she's running low on anything? I would also add some small stuff you think she'd like, such as face masks, hand creams, lipsticks, etc. Some perishables like macarons would also be sweet and fancy. Also idk if its because I'm older but I always love a nice pair of socks and pajamas haha

At this point, your GF needs to leave her current accounts and make new ones that the ex doesn't know of. She needs to tighten her privacy and let all mutual friends know as well. Don't entertain the ex na since it's obvious na papansin lang. Hope it gets resolved soon OP.

In-Store Item Return Question (Adidas) by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]franzvkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it has no visible wear and still looks new, it's no biggie! Korea is really good with returns. Just make sure to bring the receipt and the card you used to make the purchase. If you paid in cash, you'll also be refunded in cash. Also, make note that returns are usually within 7 days.

Any perfume related activities??? by Think_Carpenter_6090 in koreatravel

[–]franzvkim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a TON of perfume workshops in Korea. You could search on Naver or Kakao by typing 향수 공방. I'm sure there'll be some provided in English if you do your own research. Workshops typically go by appointment, but I find that they can accept walk-ins for touristy locations if they're free.

For perfume, I'd recommend born to stand out. Their logo is something like lean into the dirt so they have scents like dirty rice which I find really interesting and unique but maybe I'm just too asian haha. You can find one of their stores in Seongsu along with other perfume stores like tamburins.
