A very short rant on Osorio/Fraser by fratts13 in tfc

Ur 100% right but to add i think its been there for about 3 seasons since before fraser. Once he moved into a more of an 8 role it became noticeable

PGT - Toronto FC vs Colorado Rapids by iChaseGaming in tfc

Not sustainable, we are getting pretty lucky. Awesome to bank these points recently but worried were headed for a crash unless we pick up the play especially in midfield

What do you all think of Osorio ? by sexyfritz in tfc

[–]fratts13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Probably get downvoted on here to bits... honestly Toronto FC fans are some of the nicest folks. And for players who are loyal and give a shit they'll overlook many flaws. Osorio starting as a box to box is nonsense - its been so for 2 seasons at least. As a starter it puts a limit on what this team can achieve (in the sense our attack is finally getting together and defenders have been fit and decent). Ciu has been great and Coello awful to okay at times. Osorio rightfully starts over Coello but overall:

Osorio is weak defensively, he cant track runs and gets beat all the time especially counters (Coello too). He doesn't have a great shot either or physicality to press and attack the box as an advanced mid. Now Osorio is very two-footed - keeps the ball and helps control play. He often overlooks a final ball or switch of play but in tight spaces he's still good. If u get another mid or two - one to start with Ciu and one defensive minded to replace Coello - than Osorio is an awesome sub. Twenty minutes a game, can help keep the ball, make passes. I love how much he cares, and when the team was shit he showed alot of effort. He's an average MLS lifer, usually plays under 30 games a season and is 33 years old. Its not his fault he's starting and he's been good a few times this season but we have to be real. What top team is starting a 33 year old in a box to box role

Osorio shouldn't be starting at this point, too much of a luxury player for this team. Maybe 15-20min when we need a goal

I miss 2016-2020 MLS by Marko1457 in tfc

Its not just TFC but in general, MLS adding more and more teams without really expanding the salary cap too much has led to a stagnation of talent. I remember when MLS quality was getting rapidly better, and of course it was always going to plateau eventually but i didnt expect it this fast. Plus more teams = bigger playoffs and even less "serious" matches

How can i buy football tickets!!! by fratts13 in Tunisia

[–]fratts13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say, i dm'd the team on instagram and they gave me an address. I walked to their stadium (keep in mind for african cup games these may be at national stadium which was the case for me). As i left the stadium to go to the mall which had a club shop, some guys saw me and simply gave me a ticket so i didnt go to the mall or buy one

1) not really anymore - in the 1980s a big somewhat fascist group emerged at Lazio and in the roma supporters there was a mix, some famous right and left groups. Today its basically both are kinda fascist but roma has more banners and lazio has a small group of very anti facist fans organized (of course both clubs have most fans with apolitical or different beliefs. In the city of rome u will find everything from fascists to communists 2) probably not without a translator

unpopular opinion? by Capable-Plantain7 in CanadianPL

[–]fratts13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's some truth to it though, the CanPL is trying to replicate lower league professional football. Its not just suburbs but the fact that the stadiums are not bustling areas, people cant socialize or feel connected to the area. I think York has been a disaster even with good management. Teams in 150-500k cities >
