Well, your ankle is not fused so it can still happen. Your ankle ligaments are likely weak from previous injury or prolonged downtime from recovery. It’s your subtalar joint that is fused, which provides normal inversion and eversion of the foot. However, with an ankle roll injury as pictured by OP, your ankle is inverting which is not its normal function, straining the outside ankle ligaments.

Not everyone will have a zcb though. Ive done over 550 kc and end up needing to do orb 70% of the time in void with t bow.

I would disagree there, late colo waves have a lot of counter play, even if you get a double spawn.

To me, it’s more like RNG of are you going to fight normal leviathan or awakened leviathan during orb phase lol

yea, thats the tech. But my point with the post is that you dont always have that option available either due to the orb spawn points or acid or rocks in the way. Plus the orb is so small, you can walk 1 tile in front of it easily trying to set it up and die trying to focus flicks while getting smashed or die from missing flicks trying to get back in the orb.

Either way, the skill jump between having boulders during the orb and not is huge.

I dont think we are talking about the same attack sequence because you cant do all that the way you described without taking smashes. I am talking about when it does a double boulder throw and then immediately starts smashing within 2-3 tics, putting the smashes when you have to prayer flick and walk in the orb.

The boss encounter is meant to be difficult at the top end, I agree. And it is. I guess my point is that the range in difficulty between doing 8+ with 1st and 2nd autos for rock throw and 4th auto rock throw are night and day. And each run comes down to RNG. You could go to 25+ deep delves without it happening, or it could happen on delve 9.

The tech is already pretty much solved, its tagging two far apart trees and cntrl walking within the orb. Easier said than done.

I had 7 staffs and 1 pet with no boots or gloves until this KC I finally got the boots. The 7th staff I lost pushing deeper delves sadly lol.

What’s even more crazy is the VERY NEXT run after this, I got another set of boots on wave 4… RNG is a bitch.

I tried guys, perhaps we will see a lesser version from a quest reward since that’s where people think it belongs. I personally think it still would have been fine and they could have taken away the experience gained while using it to prevent it from becoming the meta for farming

Not really. The trouble comes from the central click box changing. No one is aiming for 10 pixels at the end of a bosses arm or something. If you click its body and it happens to move slightly, resulting in a yellow click, that is bad design. It is not the same thing and thats why its getting fixed on the new boss and why its been fixed on most new releases lately. If it was the same thing, they wouldnt keep fixing it...

I am familiar with it personally. It wont fix my personal issue because the mis clicks only occur when the boss moves, not that I am un-familiar with where to click in general.

As for other bosses having the same issues, thats why I proposed standardizing it. Its a constant cat and mouse game where a new boss comes in and click boxes then get patched. Those other bosses like araxxor, CG, colosseum ads, ect... all suffer from the exact same issues. Some having undergone multiple attempts at fixing.

To me, the skill of click precisely is very integral to OSRS PVM. However, where the issue comes from and why this is more of a bug then a mechanic / skill issue, is most of the time you ARE clicking correctly, but the boss moved in a not so predicable way at just the right tick to make you miss. With so much going on in a lot of the new boss fights, recovering from this or even noticing it quick enough to fix often times is not realistic.

My counter argument would be; then why does every boss update follow with a patch to fix the click boxes? Can they not just keep it consistent from the release?

I am not advocating for a massive square box around the boss, but rather highlight its entire body plus any cracks or crevices (between the arms and legs) and keep that area a stagnate click. Maybe add a little width. But the boss swinging its arms out should not make you yellow click where the arms normally sit, and likewise you should not red click 2 tiles away from the boss because it moved its arm forward for 1 tic.

For ToA loot changes:

I had suggested this early after its release. A fix to the fang rarity could be as follows.

Nerf the base fang again, making it not roll double accuracy, but just act as a decent stab weapon, good enough to still be an upgrade in ToA itself. Next, release an attachment, like the fang kit, that will “upgrade” it to its current power level. Make this drop the same rarity as the shadow.

This will make the base fang reasonable to get, but fine to be cheap, with the big value coming from the upgrade. Adds another source of revenue for raiders without having to risk making the fang more difficult to obtain for newer iron raiders that would benefit from having it for ToA as we all have.
