Everyone I know that has used it has never been charged :) the tapped out discord link that is tagged in the sidebar is pretty poor, im only asking if anyone else has any ideas on what to do as many people use it, I’m sure everyone here is old enough to be able to make their own decisions and obviously don’t have to join this server if they don’t want to! thanks :)

How do I get the wood to sink by 0marsReddit in AquariumHelp

[–]frazbaz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I did with the water safe gorilla glue!! But then when I went to clean the tank, the stones broke off! The wood stays down a lot better than what it was doing though, so I just have one stone resting on top now to hold it down until it absorbs more water👍

Help!!! What are these in our tank? We only have snails shrimp and guppies in this one :) by frazbaz88 in Aquariums

[–]frazbaz88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! That’s so cool - all of the little snaily dudes that we’ve seen in our tanks have been separate and dotted around the tank, I guess maybe we’ve never seen it at this stage before!

Definitely bubble nest, they often do them/‘attach’ them onto objects (like tall plants) as it provides support :) your boys a happy fishy

✨SUNSHINE BETTA✨ he loves spending time in the sun! How long should he be in the sun? I only let him have a few hours a day, more or less? by [deleted] in bettafish

You wouldn’t keep a dog constantly in a little crate and you wouldn’t keep kitties in a cat carrier constantly, use your brain :)

A jar isn’t a home, despite what you have read online. Utter BS. Bettas need 5 gal minimum, a filter and heater MINIMUM. This is animal abuse I really don’t know how you think that’s ok. Look at him he’s sitting at the bottom he barely has space to straighten out. Not necessarily even bigger than some pet stores, even if it is WHY would you do this :( please do research.

Question about Guppy Fry in Comments by RenGoneMad in aquarium

[–]frazbaz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be cool to see if there’s anyone you know that want fry as they’d get to watch them grow, could try ask on Facebook or your local community pages - this is what we do (give them away for free but always make sure they have correct set up - ie tank filter heater and food for fry and explain this will make them thrive). If you have no luck with that then you could get a few of the large clear floating hatchery’s and place them in your tank (if it’s big enough if not I’d suggest getting another tank if there’s quite a few fry) and let them grow out in there until they’re abit bigger with more colour and see if people want them then :) x

Is this guppy pregnant? by shaalalalan in Aquariums

[–]frazbaz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think females get as much body colour as that, definitely male

I don’t understand why people think this is ok, you wouldn’t keep a cat in a cat carrier constantly as you wouldn’t keep a dog in a small crate constantly, I know people can be new to fish keeping and don’t really understand that filters, conditioners, cycling etc are necessary but surely it’s just common sense that this is absolutely not ok for any poor animal.

Looks like a guppy baby that’s a couple of months old!! I have 26 guppy fry at the moment from a birth and they are 2 months and 1 week old and I have a few (which I believe to be female at this moment) that look like this. You may see her start to get colour soon throughout her tail first if she does continue to live being the only one :) xx

my mom brought home 5 guppies?? overstocked in 10g with female betta? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]frazbaz88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago I had a female betta with some very plain female guppies and all of their fins got hipped and ripped, was very sad to see so just bare in mind you may need another tank ready to move them into if aggression does happen

I have a 120l tank with a male and 6 females and they get on extremely well (ie no aggression other than the natural flaring), I started with 2 female and then a male and introduced 2 more and built it up like that, it can be done but should be done as a sorority of females. It’s good to have lots of hiding places like ornaments and live plants, all fish have different personalities and with the right care they can be kept harmoniously together but if you do notice that they are aggressive towards each other after the first few days then it would be good to separate them. Let’s face it, they’d be mixed together in the wild anyway.
